LNCS is a community sailing center offering memberships and classes. We are located inside Blythe Landing Park on Lake Norman.

Members enjoy paddleboards, kayaks and our fleet of sailboats seven days a week, sunrise to sunset.

⛵️Fall Youth Sailing Skill Building — Register Now!

Lake Norman Community Sailing is excited to host two full‑day Youth Sailing Skill Building sessions this fall! ⛵🍂

📅 Dates:
• Saturday, September 26
• Saturday, October 17

⏰ Time: 9:00am–4:00pm (please bring a lunch)
💵 Cost: $95 per kid, per session
👥 Ages: 7–17
⚓ Skill Level: All skill levels welcome
🏊 Prerequisite: Comfortable swimming with a PFD

These sessions are designed to help young sailors strengthen their skills, build confidence, and enjoy a full day on the water. Instruction covers fundamental sailing skills, points of sail, docking, dry‑capsizing, man overboard, intro to racing, and even specifically requested skills.

👥 Max Participants: 20 per session

What to Bring/Wear

• Water bottle
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Sunglasses (with croakies/eyewear retainer)
• Water shoes or closed‑toed shoes that strap on and can get wet (no flip‑flops)
• Bathing suit
• Layers for changing weather
• Change of clothes
• Towel
• Lunch
• Life jackets are provided — bring your own if you prefer

Nothing beats an evening on the water - and our Annual Fundraising Dinner includes one of the best perks of all: golden hour keelboat rides. ⛵️🌅

Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or stepping aboard for the first time, this is your change to experience Lake Norman from the deck of a keelboat alongside our incredible community.

Mark your calendars - Fall Junior Sailing Programs are coming back to Lake Norman Community Sailing! ⛵️💙

Join us on September 26 and October 17 for two special fall sessions designed for ages 7-18 to continue building skills, confidence, and time on the water.

Whether your sailor joined us this summer for our weekly summer camps or is brand-new to LNCS and sailing in general, these fall dates are the perfect chance to get and stay connected, be active, and keep sailing forward.

Lake Norman Community Sailing and the Flying Scot Fleet 48 are excited to host their Annual Fundraising Event - a night that brings our sailing community together to celebrate, support, and enjoy everything we love about being on the water.

Join us on Saturday, September 12 for any of the below scheduled activities at the Lake Norman Yacht Club:

Dress is cocktail attire, but keep in mind you may be hopping aboard a keelboat - think festive and functional.

What a great weekend for Lake Norman Community Sailing! Saturday morning gave us exactly what we hoped for — a steady 8mph SW breeze, sunshine, and a fleet ready to race. Our 6 Flying Scots squeezed in 5 fun social‑sail races, each one full of close finishes and plenty of smiles.

Out on the Blue keelboat, Kathy spent the weekend teaching ASA 101, helping new sailors build confidence and discover the joy of being on the water.

Thanks to everyone who joined us. Days like this remind us why we love this community. ⛵️☀️🌊
