Lydia's Loft Providing Clothing For Our Community Lydia’s Loft opened its doors to clients for the very first time on Feb 10, 2004. expressing the need.

We are a ministry under First Baptist Church in Huntersville. For over 18 years, Lydia's Loft has been an essential part of our community, providing clothing and other essential items to individuals and families in need, free of charge. We service individuals and families throughout Mecklenburg and surrounding counties. In order to receive services from Lydia's Loft, clients must obtain a referral

from a local organization, such a a food pantry, church, school, etc. They are then welcomed to "shop" every 60 days for clothing. We are a 100% volunteer driven organization. No one is paid, including our director. We rely solely on the generosity of our community to keep our doors open. We gratefully accept the following donations:
Gently used Mens, Womens and Childrens clothing items, all items, all sizes
Gently used Mens, Womens and Childrens shoes
Gently used socks
Gently used sheets, blankets and comforters
Gently used towels
New Mens, Womens and Childrens underwear
Formal attire accepted on behalf of Lydia's Prom Closet
New personal care items such as shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, etc. We DO NOT accept furniture, toys, household goods, decor items, etc. Donations may be dropped off during our hours of operation:
Monday 9am-12pm
Tuesday 9am-4pm
Wednesday 9am-12pm/4pm-7pm
Thursday 9am-4pm
Friday - CLOSED
Saturday 9am-12pm
Sunday - CLOSED

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY CLOSURE
Lydia’s Loft will be closed for the Christmas Holiday Monday Dec 22 through Saturday Jan 3.

We will reopen Monday Jan 5, 2026 at 9am.

In order to give our volunteers much deserved time to relax and celebrate this time with their families, we will not be accepting donations during the holiday closure. Kindly refrain from bringing donations during this time.
