We're excited to highlight the people who make up the Catholic Business Network of Baltimore and whose faith and professional journey inspire those around them.
This month, we're featuring Gregg Landry, Immediate Past President of CBNB, and Owner of BlueRock Productions & Studio, Transfers, and BMore Headshots.
We asked Gregg to share his ideas about faith, leadership, and work:
Q: How has your faith shaped the way you lead or work with others?
A: My faith has been instrumental in so many ways over my 32 year career. It plays a major role in trying to create fairness in all business relationships and transactions. It also plays out in asking for and sharing forgiveness, which is essential to long term success...no one is perfect and we surely benefit from being quick to ask for and share that special gift. Finally, the simple act of treating others the way you would want to be treated is a golden rule for life and certainly for business as well.
Q: Can you share a time when your faith influenced an important decision at work?
A: I've been involved with thousands of productions over the years and I remember a particular time, when the money wasn't coming in very plentifully, that a major money-producing production came along that was far from wholesome. Rejecting that opportunity seemed to open the floodgates to many other jobs that I could truly be proud to be part of. Through faith, I've also decided to be more "faith forward" in my work life, with Christian-themed artwork and scriptures in my office, behind me in my zoom calls and in my email signature. Hoping to stir up awareness and conversation!
Q: How has being part of CBNB impacted your professional or spiritual journey?
A: Being around like-minded, Christ-minded, people in CBNB has really strengthened my business life. Knowing you are not alone, and dealing with people of faith and integrity has been very rewarding. I had the distinct honor of being the immediate past president of CBNB and experienced major growth in my leadership and public speaking skills. This has carried forth into other ministry opportunities that I truly enjoy and continue to evolve.
Thank you, Gregg, for sharing your story and for being a valued member of the CBNB community.
