Wow! What a day yesterday was! Grateful for the amazing weather and the fantastic turnout to our first ever golf tournament, ‘Par for the Horse!’ We couldn’t be more thankful to Emanon Country Club for hosting us, the amazing businesses who stepped up to help sponsor the event, the raffle basket donations and the board members and volunteers who all worked together to pull off an amazing event! The golf teams were fantastic! We made so many new friends, connected with several longtime friends and supporters and enjoyed a fabulous day on the golf course! Each and every person and business coming together to support the horses, riders, participants and mission of Serendipity. We could not have asked for a better day! We have such gratitude for everyone who helped create a successful first ‘Par for the Horse’ golf tournament!

And guys- you’re not going to believe this… we had a hole in one achieved by one of our golf teams!!! ⛳️ (I’m not a golfer personally- but I know this is a HUGE deal!) Congrats!!

Also, on our ‘hole in one’ contest hole, we had an unbelievably close ‘almost’ hole in one! I’ll share the photo below!

My personal favorite part of the evening was the absolute elation when one of Serendipity’s riders tickets was called as the winner of the Harry Potter basket! (Big thank you Schiel family for the basket donation!) Pretty sure his joy resonated through the entire room! 😊 💙

The Cancer Wellness Center NEPA provides support and wellness activities for their clients, family members and caregivers across NEPA free of charge.

Most recently, The Cancer Wellness Center has partnered with Serendipity to offer therapeutic horsemanship to clients and their caregivers in our new program ‘Unbridled Hope,’ lead by Serendipity’s long time volunteer Jenn Hubb. This program has been a tremendous blessing, the connections forming between clients and horses have been incredible. Our horses look forward to seeing their new friends for a one on one bonding session each week. Each horse enjoys a quiet moment of pampering while each client has enjoyed the honest connection from their new equine friends.
