all children in the Lower Dauphin community
shall grow up to become healthy, productive adults.

Lower Dauphin Communities That Care provides programs to promote the positive development of children in the Lower Dauphin community. All of our programs were selected after a thorough review of the Lower Dauphin community's unique problems and assets. In our community, we have found that more effort needs to be directed to prevent academic failure beginning in late elementary school and in increa

sing students' attachment to their school. We are also targeting efforts to curb the availability of drugs and alcohol in our community and to improve family dynamics.

The bookmobile has an unexpected visit to the shop, so unfortunately we will not be on the road today. We’re keeping our fingers crossed we’ll be back on the road tomorrow! We’ll keep you posted.

We held our last evening Bookmobile stop at Cedar Manor mobile home park in Londonderry Twp. and had lots of fresh fruit and food to give out, in addition to backpacks donated from AAA Central Penn and toiletry packs donated by The Giving Tree of Hummelstown and Hershey. Thankful for their continued support!
