SENCA Rising Stars! The 2nd and 3rd Quarter Risings Stars are Debbie Green and Susan Boyd. Debbie is our CASA Volunteer Coordinator and has a passion for keeping children safe. She works tirelessly to recruit volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. Susan Boyd is a Head Start Family Service Advocate in Nebraska City. She consistently goes above and beyond advocating for families and connecting them to needed resources. Congratulations to both Debbie and Susan. Both of these ladies are well deserving of this peer nominated recognition! Pictured are Debbie Green, Susan Boyd, and Katie Gildersleeve representing the staff Engagement Committee.

SENCA is celebrating 60 years and May as Community Action Month! SENCA was incorporated on May 2, 1966 - 60 years ago this month! Staff have been handing out goodies to local businesses in each county we serve for Community Action Month. The activities to celebrate 60 years of helping the children and families in southeast Nebraska will extend into this summer. Be on the look out for our presence in each county fair parade! You will see one of our Weatherization trucks with our new inflatable logo driving through as well as staff from each county walking along handing out treats.
