Hope everyone has gotten the chance to check out the Humboldt County Veterans Tribute at Worthington Park. We are pleased to update that the 2nd and 3rd phases cement has been poured. We are still waiting on more bricks.

Thank you to Jason Dodd Construction for the excellent job on the cement work.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! GET YOUR DISCHARGE FORMS (DD214 OR NGB22) TO HVMA, PO BOX 111, HUMBOLDT, IA. 50548 ASAP.

DONATIONS STILL NEEDED TO FULLY FUND THE PROJECT.

06/07/2025

We still have military people in the county that should be recognized. This Tribute is for all military service people that have completed their service and have either been born in, lived in, or died in Humboldt County.
We do need discharge papers. DD214 or NGB22. The cost of the project has increased drastically since the start of the project. We had estimated the individual bricks to cost 140.00. It is turning out to be more. The project is not yet fully funded. We need all the help we can get.

06/07/2025

We hope you'll check out the project. If you find an error, please KINDLY let us know. We are aware of a few mistakes, but have to wait for more bricks before we can get them corrected. This has been and continues to be a very challenging project. Thank you to everyone who has contributed soldier information and contributions.

URGENT!!! HELP!!!! URGENT!!!!
We still need dd214's and ng22's! If you, or some one you know has completed service in any branch of our country's military (including national guards), and were born in, lived in or buried in Humboldt County, please get your or their discharge forms to the Humboldt Veterans Memorial Association ASAP. It's important to create awareness of the number of soldiers and families affected by service to protecting this country's people and freedom.
It has been calculated from the forms submitted to date (not counting civil war, Spanish war or war of 1812), 864 soldiers sacrificed 3498 years for us all. It's been said...we don't know them all, but we owe them all!
Please if you can help financially, the project is not fully funded.

The HVMA wants to send a big shout out to Humboldt HyVee for their continued efforts to help us raise funds for the memorial project. They raised another $287.00 through their November cookie sale event donating $1 for each 12 count pkg of bakery cookies sold. Thank you, Roger and all your crew for the support!

We have had some questions on this. Please see the attached info.
