Exchange students begin the journey excited, not fully knowing where it will lead, until one day they arrive and become family. It’s the best experience and as their host family, we wouldn’t trade for anything.

Our community needs host families for next school year, if you’ve ever thought about it, this might be your sign to say yes. Please reach out I’d love to share our program with you.

Fun question for anyone who’s ever thought about hosting an exchange student 🌍☀️

If a student from another country came to California, what do you think they’d be most excited to see or do first?
🗳️ Vote in the poll below!
1️⃣ The beaches & the Pacific Ocean
2️⃣ Famous CA spots (Golden Gate Bridge, Hollywood, etc.)
3️⃣ California nature (national parks, mountains, redwoods)

There’s no wrong answer — I love hearing what people think!
One thing I hear over and over is that students are just as excited about everyday life here as they are about the big attractions — family dinners, school activities, road trips, even Target runs!
Hosting isn’t about being a tour guide. It’s about sharing real life and making memories along the way 🌍❤️

I’d love to introduce you to Marika from Italy 🇮🇹

She’s 16 and will be spending her senior year of high school here starting in August. Marika is thoughtful, independent, and excited to experience everyday life as part of an American family.
She enjoys walking and jogging (it started as a simple hobby and became part of her personal wellness journey 💪), loves traveling, and really enjoys school — especially her French class. She’s hoping to get involved in choir, community service (animal shelters would make her very happy 🐾), church groups, or even debate while she’s here.

A few fun things about her:
• Favorite show: Gilmore Girls ☕
• Favorite song: Every Breath You Take 🎶
• Excited to try: Bowling 🎳
• Most looking forward to: celebrating Halloween and Christmas with her host family 🎃🎄
She’s not looking for anything fancy, just a family willing to share normal daily life, traditions, and conversation.
