Volunteer appreciation post 💗💗 we couldn’t do this with out all of the community support. Thank you to all the neighbors who make neighborhood harvest possible 🥰 the property owners who allow us to come harvest , the neighbors who pick produce and distribute, and everyone in between picking up donations to use as fundraisers and donating family items to use at our hang outs 💗. It means so much to us that this is truly a community effort!

Free pear harvests crafts and more! Boxes of dropped apples for live stock too. Come get it before the rain! Outside on the free stand table at 205 moccasin drive Willow creek. Please do not enter the property.

Thank you to an awesome neighbor for dropping off tomatoes to our free harvest table! We made sure to give these away to some local elders. Lovvvve tomato season! Big or small they’re delicious!

Went to the skate park today & while parents were skating the kids joined in and helped paint this awesome sign for the 2nd annual Bigfoot Bash featuring Neighborhood Harvest Festival! See you September 19th noon-dusk at willowcreekbigfootskatepark in Veterans Park! Shout out to Holiday In Humboldt for making this happen! So rad to support humboldtskateparkcollective ! Bring your harvests to share! We will have so many apples , pears & more for free! Made possible by Emerald Queen Farms , Humboldt Skate Lab & so many more awesome orgs! Shout out to the Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce, CA for donating this paint to use to use and letting us repurpose the Bigfoot Daze sign! 💗

Come help us organize & support 2nd annual Bigfoot Bowl Bash featuring our very own Neighborhood Harvest Festival🎉🎉 Come to the volunteer planning meeting on August 31st! Read the flyer for more info 💗we are going to need so many hands in the weeks leading into the event so we can break our record of the most harvests given away for free! We need our volunteers to help Harvest enough apples so the hundred of folks coming out can enjoy using the apple press! We’re also organizing the vendors with half the proceeds benefiting Neighborhood Harvest and the other half benefiting humboldtskateparkcollective spread the word to invite vendors/orgs 🎉 We also will be painting themed face cut outs to bring to this event - picture Bigfoot on a skate board eating a apple with our cute neighborhood Harvest frog on his shoulder & more ideas are welcome. Let’s work together to make this an epic event! Super grateful to be involved 🎉🎉.

We are doing our best to continue harvesting in Willow creek and taking a break in hoopa due to safety concerns . Our hearts go out to families in hoopa and everyone being affected by the smoke and fire. 💗

If the air quality is above 100 (orange) we will have to cancel any scheduled harvests. I’ll make sure to update all volunteers if a cancellation is needed . We will provide water, and N95 face masks too as a safety precaution .

We’re hoping for more volunteers to join us this Wednesday August 19th at 6pm in a Willow creek neighborhood.

There are multiple pear trees and apples trees in the same neighborhood off of Patterson that need to be harvested. All volunteers can take a box or two home with them, and the rest are donated to food banks & local organizations to feed our community.
