The International Association of Golf Administrators is an organization of leading golf administrators and was organized in 1968 to enhance communication, techniques and information relating to the game among the many golf associations in the United States and abroad. IAGA members represent every major North American state/regional and provincial amateur golf association and an estimated 3 million
golfers worldwide. IAGA members include staff from Golf Canada, the United States Golf Association, the Golf Course Superintendents' Association of America, the Club Managers Association of America, the American Association of Golf Course Architects, the World Golf Foundation and other allied professional organizations with the common goal to serve and protect the game, past and present, worldwide. IAGA members manage the affairs of their respective golf associations in various capacities, including course rating, handicap maintenance, communications, education, tournament operations, junior golf development and a variety of scholarship programs. A host of IAGA member-moderators and guest speakers make presentations on golf-related topics. Educational breakout sessions allow members to interact and discuss specific problems in their fields. A day of championship golf enhances the camaraderie, and the business meeting features the election of a new IAGA Board of Directors.
