Join the Pilot Club of Lake Houston for two festive days of mahjong, friendship and holiday fun—all in support of traumatic brain injury survivors and brain health and safety.

Come for Thursday evening’s Merry Mahjamas Social Play, Friday’s Holly Jolly Mahjong Tournament, or make a weekend of it and join us for both!

Merry Mahjamas Social Play
⏰ 6:00–9:00 PM
🎟️ $20 per player
Put on your favorite festive pajamas and settle in for a relaxed evening of social mahjong!
🀄 Fun, casual play

It’s an easygoing evening to play, visit with friends and get into the holiday spirit before tournament day.

Get ready for a full day of friendly competition and holiday cheer!

Tournament Day Schedule
☕ 8:00 AM — Check-In & Light Breakfast
Coffee, tea, water and pastries
🀄 9:00 AM — Tournament Play Begins
Five one-hour rounds with four hands per round.
🥪 Lunch — After Round 3
🀄 1:00 PM — Afternoon Play Resumes
🏆 4:00 PM — Awards & Prizes

Yesterday was one of those moments that reminds us why we love giving back. Pilots had the honor of surprising an incredible special education teacher, Pam Edleman, with an award certificate and everything on her classroom wishlist!

Special education teachers pour so much love, patience, and dedication into their students every single day, often going above and beyond without asking for recognition. This amazing teacher truly deserves to be celebrated for the difference she makes in the lives of her students and their families.
Seeing her reaction reminded us that even small acts of kindness can make a huge impact. Thank you for all you do, and for being such an inspiration to your students and our community!

What a wonderful weekend!
The Lake Houston Pilots had an incredible time attending the 89th District Convention, and we are so proud to share that our club received 1st place awards in Safety and Security, Reach for the Stars, Social Media, and Newsletter, along with the Elizabeth Young Service for the Aging Award.
Friday night kicked things off with a fantastic dinner and unforgettable entertainment by magician Jaime Salinas. On Saturday, we spent the day in our business meeting, and during the memorial service, our sweet friend George Anderson was honored in a meaningful tribute.
We’re also excited to celebrate Joanne Patterson as Governor and Laura McGinnis, LT Governor, who were installed as part of the 2026–2027 DAC team which was another proud moment for Lake Houston Pilots!
Dinner that evening featured beautiful harp music, and the night wrapped up in the most fun way possible… with Elvis in the house!
We are incredibly proud of our club’s accomplishments and grateful for such a memorable weekend together.

What a fun time supporting our Pilots from West Chambers Club
The “Under the Sea” theme was absolutely amazing—decorations were beautiful and really brought the night to life. The food was delicious, and everything came together perfectly.
But the best part of all was the friendships, sharing laughs, making memories, and coming together for such a great cause.
Thank you to everyone who made this event so special!
