I have to brag on these women for a minute! 🩵

Last night, I had the pleasure of hosting some of our incredible KBW Business & Brunch committee members at my home, and I genuinely don’t think we’ve ever had a more powerful group of businesswomen working together. These ladies are some of the smartest, most talented, motivated, and inspiring women I know. They know their stuff, and the conversations we had about the future of KBW and what’s ahead for our business community were SO GOOD!

What I appreciate most is that these women have already put in a full day running their businesses, working, taking care of their families, and managing their own responsibilities, yet they still make time to volunteer and help me bring this vision to life. For some, dinner at my house was the first meal they’d actually had a chance to sit down and enjoy all day. Because that’s what we do as women, isn’t it? We just keep going! ❤️

Being able to cook for them and show them even a little appreciation was honestly the least I could do. These women take so much off my plate (literally and figuratively 😂), and they probably don’t realize how many sleepless nights and moments of burnout they save me from just by showing up, taking initiative, and sharing their expertise.

Not everyone could make it last night or be in this photo, but I am so incredibly grateful for every woman serving on this committee. You have no idea how much my heart AND my mind appreciate you. I’m so proud of the women we have around this table and what we’re building together for the Lake Houston community. 🩵

Melanie became a mom at 15, raised three children as a single mother, lived through years of survival mode and eventually packed up her entire life and moved her family from Los Angeles to Texas to start over.

Now she’s building a thriving business alongside her husband, Leo, putting HER name on the company in a male-dominated industry, walking into rooms she once never imagined she belonged in, and learning that asking for help doesn’t make you weak, it helps you GROW. 💙

We talk imposter syndrome, social anxiety, marriage + business, collaboration over competition, breaking generational cycles, building generational wealth and what happens when you finally start owning your worth.

And Melanie said something I hope every woman hears: ✨ “Keep showing up, keep believing, keep growing, because your story isn’t over and neither is mine.” YES. MA’AM. 👏🏼

REVIEWS ARE POURING IN! Lake Houston professionals and business owners are listening to Company She Keeps as they work, drive, or together! And this review from Nikki York of Sagera Consulting totally brought a smile to my face!

"Hi Christa and Erin,

I just finished the host intro and Mandy Rivers episode and just wanted you to know I couldn't stop listening! I listened at different times, at different times but the storyline and content kept me coming back wanting more. Great job, leaders!!

This is what stuck from Mandy's episode. Business is not meant to be done alone, you say it in the intro, and then the episode proves it. What I heard wasn't a highlight reel. It was a woman who opened her doors two weeks before COVID, kept her whole team on payroll through three months of closed doors, and then quietly built one of the most thoughtfully run businesses in our community. Most owners never get to hear how someone else actually did it. You gave us that. So inspiring!
And you gave Mandy room to be a whole person, not just a business. The turn into her story, and the way you held it, is the part I'll remember. That is what Company She Keeps is for, and you found it on episode two.

I really enjoyed learning more about both of your personal and professional journeys as well. You have unlocked something very special for the KBW members. It will definitely help us get to know each other in a deeper way, which will make us an exceptional referral network for each other.

I felt the show was extremely polished, the sound quality was amazing and it felt established, both from Spotify and the YouTube channels. The few things that will iron out with reps would be learning each other's conversation style so there are fewer overlaps, building in smooth sponsor ad transitions, (Mel Robbins does this really well,) and consistently dialing in the most memorable intro and outro hooks. Overall, you knocked it out of the freaking park!!

I know this is a big time commitment, but your hard work paid off in a huge way. Can't wait to see what opportunities come of your efforts.
