Join us, Hull Public Library and Hull’s US 250th Committee for a special gathering of the Q***r Book Club! This is part of an ongoing series of a welcoming, inclusive space to connect with fellow readers and discuss LGBTQ+ books and topics.

The book selection for this special 250th celebration meetup is Masquerade: The Life and Times of Deborah Sampson, Continental Soldier. Born in 1760, Deborah Sampson was a Massachusetts woman who disguised herself as a man to enlist in the Continental Army This book tells her story.

Copies are available at the library front desk and on Libby (ebook and audiobook).

🚨‼️Transportation alert for Hull Pride on Saturday, June 6th: Parking at the Hull Yacht Club is free, but limited. If possible, carpool or take the MBTA 714 bus which runs the length of Nantasket Avenue through Hull and also connects to the ferry dock at Pemberton Point. Service runs in each direction approximately every 30 minutes. Cost is just $1.70 to ride which can be paid in cash or via contactless payment. The bus can be hailed at any safe spot along the route, and you can ask the driver to drop you off directly in front of the yacht club.
