The Lincoln County Horse Judging Team attended their first ever judging contest on March 29th. The contest was hosted by Adam's County and it was a video contest for the first one of the year. We had 3 judgers represent Lincoln County; Jade Kravig, Kadee Christensen and Walker Leonard. Jade won High Individual for the senior contest and Kadee and Walker was 2nd and 3rd High Individual in the Novice Junior contest respectively. Please give these horse judgers a big congratulations from Lincoln County.

Ride Smart: English & Western 4-H Clinic

*For youth interested in building their horsemanship skills in both disciplines. This clinic will focus on fundamentals, improving riding skills, and learning techniques.
Space is limited to 10 riders per session, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cost: $15 per session.
This clinic is a great opportunity for youth to receive instruction and strengthen their riding foundation in a supportive learning environment.

Join us for our first ever Vaqueros Saddle Club Ranch Horse Versatility Series! Come show off your ranch horse and enjoy a great day of competition!

📅 Show Dates:
• Saturday March 7th
• Saturday April 4th
• Saturday May 2nd
• Saturday June 6th

🤠Divisions:
• Open
• Amateur
• youth (18 & under)

🏆 Classes:
• Ranch Riding
• Ranch Trail
• Ranch Reining
• Ranch Horse Conformation

💰 Details:
• $20 per class
• $5 office fee

• Patterns picked the day of the show
• Must be a member & attend 3 of 4 shows to be eligible for awards

Check this out! Colorado Versatility Ranch Horse Association-CoVRHA and NVRHA are designed specifically for the amateur rider. Their primary objective is to provide an educational, fun and safe opportunity for amateur riders to improve their horsemanship while preserving the great American Ranch Horse traditions. CoVRHA and NVRHA is a starting place for anyone interested - at any level, with any horse - and still provide an opportunity for those wishing to take competition to the next level. Their typical format is a weekend clinic combined with a schooling competition. The weekends will be focused on the skills a typical horse on the ranch would be expected to perform. Classes include Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Cutting and Working Ranch. Additionally, a unique conformation class, which judges the horse on "form to function", is also part of the program.
