Hudson VFW Memorial Post 5791 mourns the passing of Army National Guard Veteran and former Town of Hudson Selectwoman Kara Roy. She passed away August 4, 2026 following a long battle with cancer. She was deeply involved in the Hudson community. A twenty year veteran of the Army National Guard, Kara spoke movingly at our 2023 Wreath Day ceremony, representing the Town and as a veteran.

National Night Out was terrific as usual. Lots of fun meeting lots of kiddos and their parents, and sharing what the VFW does for the community. Thanks to Dan Barthelemy and Derick Bice and Dave Ouellette from the Post, and Kate Ouellette from the Auxiliary for representing the Post and Aux. Next up: Old Home Days! See you there.

Thank you to all our donors at today's Red Cross Blood Drive. They collected 35 pints, which is the most we've collected in the past few years. Thanks also to Dan Barthelemy and Sue Cuddy for helping out today.
