Today was a BIG day at The ToyMakers! 🎉🧸

Right outside our storage units — under the open sky and with lots of teamwork — our incredible volunteers sorted **200 boxes (17,000 toys!)** in preparation for upcoming deliveries. 📦✨

It was hands-on, high-energy, and full of heart. Because of this amazing effort, thousands of children will soon receive toys that bring comfort, joy, and a reminder that their community cares. 💛

We’re so grateful for everyone who showed up, worked hard, and made it happen.

🎉Volunteer of the Month: Congratulations, Randy! 🎉

This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Randy as The ToyMakers’ Volunteer of the Month!

For the past 10 years, Randy has generously shared his time and talents with us. When he first joined The ToyMakers, he came in with woodworking experience and assumed he’d be building toys. But instead of choosing what he wanted to do, Randy asked a simple and powerful question: “Where do you need help?”

The answer was decorating toys — and that’s exactly where he’s been ever since.

Randy adds the beautiful, detailed painted decorations that truly bring our toys to life. His steady hand and creative eye make each piece extra special for the children who receive them.

His favorite toys to paint? Spider-Man cars and the alligators — especially because of those big teeth!

While he may not be woodworking with us, Randy certainly keeps busy at home crafting stunning charcuterie boards and treasure boxes — continuing to put his woodworking skills to great use.

Randy, your willingness to serve where needed, your dedication over the past decade, and the care you put into every toy make a lasting difference. We are so grateful for you and all that you do for The ToyMakers family.

We are incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club of New Port Richey for their generous $1,000 donation to The ToyMakers!

Your support helps us continue our mission of crafting and delivering handcrafted wooden toys to children and families facing medical, emotional, and economic hardship throughout the Tampa Bay area. Because of community partners like you, we are able to keep our workshop running and place smiles in the hands of thousands of children each year.

Please join us in congratulating Kathie, our ToyMakers Volunteer of the Month! For the past 6 years Kathie has been a steady, joyful presence in the workshop — introduced to us by her neighbor, she came to check out The ToyMakers in person, and Jack had her sit down and start painting. She’s been showing up ever since to help create toys and bring smiles to children across the Tampa Bay area.

Kathie handles the base coats, adds delightful decorations, and — full disclosure — isn’t a huge fan of sanding. But over the years she’s perfected a truly special skill: painting the tiny, tedious windows. Those fiddly little panes? The rest of us always ask Kathie for help, because she makes them look amazing every time.

Kathie also volunteers with the West Pasco Quilters' Guild, bringing her creativity and community spirit to another wonderful local organization.

We’re so grateful for Kathie’s talent, consistency, and heart. Thank you for everything you do — our toys (and our team) are better because of you.

🎉 Celebrating Our Veterans! 🇺🇸

On Friday, February 13th, we had the honor of honoring Denise, Clyde, and Tom from The ToyMakers. A heartfelt thank you to the West Pasco Quilters' Guild, Inc. for organizing such a beautiful presentation for our Veterans.

The show was absolutely fabulous, and the quilts were nothing short of amazing! One of Kathie's gorgeous quilts are shown here below, another fellow ToyMaker.
