Every Tuesday this month, we are bringing you a Grange "Pro-Tip" to help local Granges promote the Grange.

This week's Pro-Tip:
🔹 When referring to our organization, Grange is always capitalized. 🔹

That’s because "Grange" isn’t just a general term—it’s a proper name that represents a national, grassroots organization with a proud history dating back to 1867.

Using a capital “G” helps distinguish the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry from the everyday word “grange,” which can simply mean a farm or agricultural building.

It may seem like a small detail, but it reflects respect for our identity, our mission, and the generations of members who have built the Grange into what it is today.

Did you know that April is Grange Month?

Well now you do!

Check out this Proclamation from our National President Christine Hamp

April is Grange Month, a time to celebrate the impact Granges make in communities across America.

This year, we are highlighting the theme “Growing From the Ground Up!” — recognizing that the strength of the Grange begins in our local communities, where members come together to serve, lead, and make a difference.

Throughout April, we invite Grangers everywhere to participate in . Each Monday, we will share a prompt encouraging members, Granges, and leaders to tell their story and highlight the work happening in their communities.

From service and agriculture to building leadership and stronger communities, the Grange continues to grow because of the work happening at the local level.

Follow along each Monday and share your stories using and as we celebrate how the Grange is Growing From the Ground Up!

On World Cancer Day, the National Grange stands with those impacted by cancer and continues to advocate for early detection, equitable access to care, and stronger rural healthcare. Early detection saves lives—and where you live should never determine your outcomes.

Looking forward to what 2026 bring us as Grangers!

As we pull into port at the close of our 159th Annual National Grange Convention — our first-ever held at sea — we reflect on the work we accomplished together. Over the past week, officers, delegates, and members charted our course for the year ahead, strengthened the fraternal bonds between our members of all ages, and reaffirmed our commitment to service and advocacy in every community we touch.

Our delegates tackled key resolutions that will shape the future of the organization and set clear goals to expand member engagement, grow our impact, and deepen our spirit nationwide.

This convention reminded us that whether on land or at sea, the Grange moves forward with purpose. The road ahead is bright, and together we’ll continue to lift our communities, support the hands that feed and the hearts that lead, and build a future worthy of the generations who will follow.

Here’s to the work behind us — and the journey ahead.

We look forward to seeing you in Broken Arrow in 2026, as we pave a Route to the Future.

National Grange President Christine Hamp has released her "Speak Like a 'CHAMP'" phrase for October.
We encourage you to use this phrase in your programming, publications, and in your online presence.

GRASSROOTS

Grassroots refers to the most basic or fundamental level of an organization or movement, typically involving ordinary people rather than leaders. It is often used ot describe efforts that are initiated and driven by individuals or local communities, as opposed to top-down, organizationally controlled actions. Grassroots movements focus on building support, advocacy, or change from the ground up, starting with those who are directly affected by an issue or cause. Grassroots movements are powerful because they are often motivated by a shared sense of urgency or concern and can mobilize large numbers of people to advocate for change at local, regional, or even national levels.
