After a wonderful Mental Health First Aid training last weekend, we’re keeping the conversation going—this time, outdoors! 🍂💚

Join State of Mind: Hudson and Friends of Hudson Parks this Sunday, October 11 at 9:00 a.m. for our annual Fall Mindful Hike for Mental Health at Cascade Park!

Sometimes supporting our mental health can be as simple as stepping outside, slowing down, noticing what’s around us, and giving ourselves permission to be present. During our hike, we’ll explore the connection between nature, mindfulness, and mental health, using our senses to reconnect with the present moment and check in with how we’re feeling.

🌿 Everyone is welcome! Bring a friend, bring the family, or come on your own for a peaceful Sunday morning in nature.

It takes a community to make opportunities like our Mental Health First Aid training possible, and we have some wonderful people to thank! 💚

We are incredibly grateful to the local businesses and organizations that helped us take care of our participants throughout Saturday’s training:

☕ Starbucks Hudson generously provided coffee to get our morning started.
🥐 ACME Fresh Market donated breakfast items for our participants.
🍪 Heinen's provided a gift card to purchase snacks/beverages.
🍔 FlipSide Hudson generously provided lunch for the group.
📚 And a special thank you to the Hudson Library & Historical Society for providing a wonderful space for us to gather, learn, and connect.

These contributions may seem like breakfast, coffee, snacks, lunch, and meeting space—but to us, they represent something much bigger: a community that believes mental health education matters.

Also - we are incredibly grateful to the organizations who have provided us with grant money this year to make our event possible: the IECA Foundation, Hudson Community Foundation, and the Hudson Community Choruses. Your support is valued more than we can say!

Thank you for supporting State of Mind: Hudson, our Mental Health First Aiders, and our efforts to create a community where more people know how to recognize when someone is struggling and how to respond. We are so fortunate to have community partners who show up for Hudson. 💚

What an incredible way to spend a Saturday! 💚

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined State of Mind: Hudson for our Mental Health First Aid training this past weekend.

By giving your time to learn how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges, you’ve helped make our community stronger. Every person who feels more prepared to notice when someone is struggling, start a conversation, offer support, and help connect them with resources can make a meaningful difference.

Mental health is a community issue—and creating a community of care takes all of us.
We are so grateful to this group for showing up, learning, asking questions, and making the commitment to become Mental Health First Aiders. We hope you’ll take what you learned and carry it into your homes, schools, workplaces, organizations, neighborhoods, and everyday interactions.

More people who know how to help = a stronger, more supportive Hudson. 💚
Thank you for being part of it!

☕🥐 A BIG thank you to two wonderful Hudson community partners! 💚
We are incredibly grateful to our local ACME Fresh Market and Starbucks in Hudson for generously helping us start the morning right at this Saturday’s Mental Health First Aid training!

ACME is donating breakfast items for our participants, and Starbucks is providing the coffee—because a full day of learning is definitely better with breakfast and caffeine! ☕😊

Their generosity means so much to us. When local businesses step up to support programs like Mental Health First Aid, they’re doing more than providing food and coffee—they’re investing in the mental health and well-being of our community.

This Saturday, Hudson community members will spend the day learning practical skills to recognize and respond when someone may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. We’re so thankful to ACME Fresh Market and Starbucks for helping us take care of our participants while they learn how to better take care of others. 💚

Thank you for supporting State of Mind: Hudson and for being such generous community partners!

What happens when you slow down and really notice where you are? 🌳💚

The sounds around you.
The feeling of the breeze.
The colors of the leaves.
The ground beneath your feet.
Your breath.

Sometimes, reconnecting with the present moment is exactly what we need.

Join State of Mind: Hudson and Friends of Hudson Parks for our Fall Mindful Hike for Mental Health on Sunday, October 11 at 9:00 AM at Cascade Park.

We’ll explore how spending time in nature can help us pause, engage our senses, and check in with how we’re feeling.

💚 A HUGE thank you to Flip Side Hudson! 💚

We are incredibly grateful to FlipSide Hudson for their generous donation of lunch for the participants at our upcoming Mental Health First Aid training!

Bringing Mental Health First Aid to our Hudson community is all about creating more people who feel prepared to recognize when someone may be struggling, respond with compassion, and connect them with the right support. Having local businesses like FlipSide step up to support this effort means so much to us—and helps make this important training possible.

Thank you, FlipSide, for not only feeding our participants, but for investing in the mental health and well-being of our community. Your generosity, partnership, and commitment to Hudson truly make a difference. 🍕💚

We are so appreciative of businesses that see the value in supporting mental health education and helping us build a stronger, more connected community.
