Anytime during the month of April, if you buy the special Blooming 4 good bouquet for $10.99..... $1.00 of that is sent to SVdP of St. Michael Church. This helps us obtain food cards to give to residents in need of food assistance !

Who we are and how we serve the community of Hudson.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide Christian community that was founded in Paris in 1833, by Frederic Ozanam and five friends. They chose St. Vincent de Paul, who had founded 3 other charities in the 17th century, as their patron saint, because they also planned to serve those in need and bring them closer to God. Currently, in the United States alone, there are more than 4,400 conferences and 96,000 Vincentians (members).

The Society helps the needy regardless of their creed, ethnic or social background via person to person contact. We collaborate with other local charitable service agencies to assist with relieving a need or addressing the cause of the need, so that the individual or family can move forward with knowledge that will help them to prevent the issue in the future. We are funded by the generosity of our parishioners, community members, and other charities. We expand our giving by including holiday meals and children's gifts at Christmas, thanks to the giving and caring nature of our wonderful town.

Some 12 million people are helped annually by Vincentians in the United States. Confidentiality and dignity of those who are served is maintained throughout the assistance process. One of our key goals is to bring hope and encouragement to those in need.
