Did you know we are not just a work-ordered day program? We also believe in fostering relationships for our members in what we call Socials.

We have two per month & we also get together on holidays so our members have people to gather with.

In September we have our Labor Day Game Social (9/7), a Yoga Social (9/12) and an outing to the Recovery Walk (9/19). You also don’t want to miss our Annual Chili Cook-Off!

We love connecting with other clubhouses.

Our friends at Vincent House, another Clubhouse International - ICCD program in Florida, recently shared their homemade chocolate chip cookie recipe with us. Of course, our GOC colleagues had to give it a try!

Making cookies may seem like a simple task, but at GOC, simple tasks have purpose. Working together in the kitchen gives Members opportunities to learn skills, build confidence, take responsibility, and contribute to their Clubhouse community.

It also reminds us that we are part of something bigger. Clubhouses across Florida and around the world share ideas, support one another, and believe in the value and abilities of every Member.

And sometimes, that connection comes with fresh-baked cookies.

Here at Vincent House Pasco we don’t try and change our members. Instead, we give them an environment, where they can flourish. We give them the tools and skills to help them be successful in other arenas of life.

Most of all we let them know that a mental health diagnosis is not what they are defined by but just another facet of who they are.
