Please join us in congratulating Captain Graham Swenson on his field promotion from Lieutenant to Captain!

Captain Swenson joined Hudson Fire in September of 2015 and has been a tremendous asset to our organization ever since. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in building and advancing our health and fitness program to help ensure our firefighters stay healthy, resilient, and receive the preventative testing they need to safely serve our community.

His leadership, commitment, and dedication to the fire service are second to none. Captain Swenson’s impact on both our personnel and our organization will continue to be felt for years to come.

Captain Swenson will be assigned as the Station 1 Captain on C Shift.

Congratulations Captain Swenson, we’re proud of you and excited to see you step into this role!

☀️🚒 LOCAL 5213 TRAINING DAY 🚒☀️

Hudson Firefighters took full advantage of the beautiful weather today while conducting aerial training with TK901. Crews on shift spent time working with the truck’s 107-foot aerial ladder, sharpening the precision and control that’s critical on emergency scenes.

To fine-tune their skills, firefighters tied a traffic cone to the end of the ladder and practiced carefully placing it on top of target cones positioned around Station 1. This drill focused on smooth operation, communication, and the small, controlled movements that make a big difference when operating at height. *** Video in the comments.

Of course, we added a little competitiveness to the mix — members were timed and received penalties for knocking cones over. Precision matters, and a little friendly rivalry keeps everyone sharp.
Training never stops. Days like today help ensure we’re ready when our community needs us most.

Big Congratulations to Our New Paramedics!

Please join us in celebrating six incredible paramedics who have officially completed their Field Internship Rides and intensive two-week academy! This milestone represents countless hours of hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing the highest level of care to our community.

Congratulations to:

Jack Tortorici
Nick Collins
Kevin Stumpff
Adam Aguilera
Matthew McKercher
Chris Allman

Each of these paramedics brings a unique background, experience, and skill set to our organization, and we’re excited to see the impact they’ll make both on the street and within our team.

With the addition of these six team members, we’ll be placing Ambulance 903 into service at our Lochbuie Station in the coming weeks, bringing us to full-time ALS ambulance coverage in both Hudson and Lochbuie.

We’re proud of the hard work these medics have put in and grateful for the continued growth of our EMS system in service to our community. Please help us welcome and congratulate them!
