HUDSON FIRE IS HIRING!

Are you ready to take the next step in your fire service career? Hudson Fire Protection District is accepting applications for Entry-Level and Lateral Firefighter/EMT positions!

We are an all-hazards, career fire district serving approximately 96 square miles in southern Weld County, including the Towns of Hudson and Lochbuie and surrounding rural areas.

🇺🇸 Hudson Fire Local 5213 Wildland Deployment Update 🇺🇸

Hudson Fire Local 5213 is proud to have two crews currently deployed on wildland fire assignments, helping protect communities during an active fire season.

Today, Lt. Hudson, Firefighter Norris, and Firefighter Adams departed aboard Reserve Engine 901 (Type 1 Engine) to assist with the Aspen Acres Fire in southern Colorado.

Meanwhile, our wildland team assigned to Northern California Preposition continues their mission with our Type 3 Engine. Battalion Chief Peterson, Engineer Mullis, and Firefighter Mills are completing fuel mitigation projects while remaining ready to respond to new wildfire incidents throughout the region.

While these members are away, both Hudson Fire stations remain fully staffed and ready to respond to emergencies in our community.

As we celebrate Independence Day, we're proud to answer the call to help our fellow Americans in their time of need. Please join us in wishing our crews a safe deployment and a safe return home.

Wildland Team Deployment to Northern California

Please join us in wishing Battalion Chief Peterson, Engineer Mullis, and Firefighter Mills a safe deployment as they travel to Northern California to preposition and assist with any wildfires that may occur.

These aid agreements are extremely important because they allow fire departments across the country to help our fellow Americans during times of need. Just as we are sending resources to assist today, these same agreements ensure that help will be available to our community if we ever face a major wildfire or other large-scale emergency here at home.

Deployments like this also provide our personnel with invaluable real-world experience in wildfire suppression, incident management, and command tactics that they can bring back and share with the rest of our department, strengthening our capabilities and preparedness.

As part of this agreement, the federal government reimburses the Hudson Fire for all personnel and equipment costs associated with the deployment, as well as the overtime costs required to maintain full staffing levels while these members are away.

Thank you to Battalion Chief Peterson, Engineer Mullis, and Firefighter Mills for your willingness to serve wherever you are needed. We appreciate your dedication and commitment to protecting lives and property.
