This week Day Services clients enjoyed our Fall Communication groups with the Communication Science & Disorders Grad Students & Faculty AND a super fun, active Campus Life session with the UW-River Falls Football players!

Fall Festivities are in full swing here at BRIDGE! 🍁✨

🍎 Visits to Leisen Family Farm:
Clients enjoyed the petting zoo, pumpkin launching and navigating the corn maze!

🍎 Fall Semester of Campus Life began:
Our clients are happy to be back on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus for tours and activities with faculty and staff. This week they toured the Wyman Education Building and put their observation skills to the test with a scavenger hunt. They did great!

🍎 Spooky Science Experiments: STEM learning with a festive twist! They made a pumpkin-colored bubbling potion and “Magic Milk” learning about chemical reactions and density.

Thanks to your donations, this year's BRIDGE Fall Dance & Fundraiser on October 3rd raised a grand total of $2,140! That is officially a Fall Dance record! Thank you! 🎃 👻 💃 💀

Attendees, friends, family members, and volunteers had a fun afternoon packed with fang-tastic costumes, prizes, music, and dancing. Every single dollar raised supports BRIDGE programs for those with disabilities we serve.

A big shout out to David Robelia & family for being our top fundraisers once again, raising a spook-tacular $1,100! You are un-boo-lievable! 👻

We also want to give a massive shout out to our wonderful UWRF NSSLHA & Student Volunteers for all their hard work, and thank you to the First Presbyterian Church of Hudson, WI for hosting our events year after year.

Thank you to EVERYONE who raised pledges and made donations. We appreciate you all!

- A BIG Thank you to Coach Danielle Nesvold & the girl's Western Wisconsin Soccer team for volunteering their evening last night to help BRIDGE staff & clients create a collection of sustainable gifts. The group made Whipped Lotion, Potpourri Sachets, Italian Seasoning Spice Jars, and Marigold Seed Envelopes.

We had a ball making these gifts together and are incredibly grateful for this wonderful community partnership! Many of these items were made with produce BRIDGE clients' grew in the Brakke gardens this summer.

Keep an eye out for these at our future BRIDGE events!

Just some recent snapshots from the BRIDGE Day Services program for your enjoyment! Highlights have been hanging out with friends on-site at Brakke, visiting local parks, bowling, and gardening! ✨

On Thursdays, BRIDGE clients help out at Christian Community Homes and Services, folding napkins and clothing protectors for the residents. These weekly visits are a wonderful chance to connect, share smiles, and build friendships too.

Everyone at CCH is always so kind and welcoming. We love being part of such a supportive community!

Last week BRIDGE Clients tried their hands at making homemade lotion using shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, and essential oils.

They learned a lot and are still refining the process, but these jars were a fun hands-on project that make a thoughtful gift while being kinder to the planet!

This year, BRIDGE received a grant to help spread epilepsy awareness.
The Epilepsy Foundation of America is hosting awareness walks in Wisconsin & Minnesota later this month, and they are completely free to join!
