Troop 60 held its Court of Honor today, recognizing an impressive 35 merit badges and 7 ranks earned through merit badge college, camporee, and summer camp. Families and friends joined in celebrating these accomplishments, finishing the event with a delicious potluck. Congratulations to all our Scouts!

A special thank you to Ryne for being the MC, which was the final requirement he needed to earn the Communication Merit Badge.

Our Troop had an incredible week at Igawanis Adventure Base in Waverly, IA!

From 6/21–6/26, 7 Scouts and 3 leaders spent the week earning merit badges in swimming, kayaking, moviemaking, nature, leatherwork, mammal study, welding, bird study, art, first aid, fishing, robotics, electricity, and home repair.

A huge shoutout to Catherine, who was a fun and helpful Troop Guide all week.

We’re proud of Ryne & Field for being called out for the Order of the Arrow. Ryne worked hard and successfully completed his Ordeal.

Our Scouts did a fantastic job welcoming Hayden to his first summer camp. He jumped right into the Trail to First Class program and had a great week learning new skills and getting to know the Troop.

Camp kicked off with rain during arrival, so everyone set up in the rain — but the rest of the week brought cooler‑than‑normal temperatures that made for a comfortable and fun adventure. We teamed up with Troop 80 from LaPorte City for a closing‑campfire skit and performed the Fortune Teller skit together.

Other highlights:
• Too many slushies
• Endless rounds of Uno
• S’mores and OA pizza
• Leaders earning the Coffee Patrol Patch
• Lots of trading post purchases (mostly candy, snacks, and drinks)
• And somehow… everyone came home with zero bug bites

Proud of our Scouts and leaders for an awesome week of learning, service, and fun.

The Spring Camporee put on by the Winnebago Council, Scouting America was a great time! Scouts enjoyed camping, pickleball, cooking and biking. A little chilly but the sun warmed things up nicely in the afternoon.

A big thank you to Nick for taking so many photos!
