Hudson Historical Society (Massachusetts) The Hudson Historical Society is dedicated to promoting broad interest in the history and heritage of Hudson, Massausetts.

Historical Society museum reopens!

The Hudson Historical Society Museum has opened at its new location at Room B406 on the fourth floor of The Landing at Hudson Mills at 43 Broad St.

The new location is elevator accessible.

Hard-working Society members moved the museum and its thousands of artifacts to a location across from the elevator during the past few months.

The public is invited to visit on Tuesdays from 2-4 p.m. and on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Hudson Historical Society will resume meetings after an 18-month hiatus, on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. at the First Federated Church hall at 200 Central St.

Local historian Richard Gelpke will speak on his latest book, “A History of Lake Boon, from Earliest Days to Present.” The heart of the book is a chronology from the late 1800s to the present time, including newspaper articles, photos and maps. The book includes mentions of former popular establishments like Sam’s Provisions, Monahan’s night club and Hanson’s Beach.

Society president Christine DiMare invites the public to attend.

Masks are requested.
