Local 3154 members joined with firefighters from across the continent to honor Boston Firefighter Robert Kilduff who was killed in the line of duty.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends and his brothers and sisters within the Boston Fire Department.

May he rest in peace.

During their 24-hour shift yesterday the members of Group 1 responded to 23 incidents.

A number of those were due to the high winds yesterday morning, however crews remained busy through out the rest of the day and night with non-weather related calls.

Total calls included: 10 EMS calls, 6 trees and/or wires down, 3 motor vehicle accidents, an odor of gas in the building, a fire alarm activation, a mutual aid engine to Bedford for a 2nd Alarm fire, and a service call to assist a citizen.

Crews are dealing with multiple trees and wires down across town due to the current weather conditions.

Please use caution while driving and remember to never approach downed wires, even if they do not appear to be live.

As EMS Week comes to a close we would like to thank the staff at all our local emergency departments, particularly St. Joseph Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Health, for their efforts to recognize our EMS providers for the work that they do.

We are proud of the work that our members do throughout the entire year to provide high quality Advanced EMT and Paramedic level care to the citizens of Hudson and Litchfield and we appreciate the recognition from our partner hospitals.

Our busier than average week continued yesterday, with Group 1 responding to 20 incidents during their 24-hour shift.

These calls included 2 box alarms, a fire alarm activation, a carbon monoxide detector activation, a motor vehicle accident, 12 medical aids and 3 lift assists.

Today is our second Muscular Dystrophy Association boot drive!

Your Hudson Firefighters will be at the corner of Ferry, Derry and Chase Streets this afternoon from 2 PM until 6 PM collection money to help those suffering from muscular dystrophy and related diseases.

If you are passing through during that time we would greatly appreciate any type of donation to this great cause!
