This grant was funded by St. Croix Valley Foundation, New Richmond Area Community Foundation, and Somerset Community Foundation.

The St. Croix Valley Foundation is proud to announce $304,765 awarded to 43 nonprofits through our 2026 Vibrant Communities Mental Health Grant Program. This record level of funding was made possible because 31 charitable funds — held by donors right here in our Valley — came together around a shared belief: that access to mental health support shouldn't depend on your zip code.

From Burnett County to Washington County, organizations are now better equipped to support youth, families, older adults, and caregivers. That's the power of giving together.

The St. Croix Valley — its river, its small towns, its generous people — exists as it does today because of those who chose to protect it. On Memorial Day, we hold space for that truth.

We are a foundation built on the belief that community is everything. And today, community means gathering in gratitude — at parades, at gravesides, at backyard tables — and remembering that freedom is never free.

Proud and inspired by the work you do across our communities, St. Croix Valley Opera! Congratulations on creating an organizational foundation worthy of the vision and energy you bring to the Valley!

We are so grateful to the St. Croix Valley Foundation for awarding St. Croix Valley Opera a Nonprofit Capacity Building Planning Grant in support of our Strategic Plan and Capacity Building Roadmap!

This investment will help us build the organizational foundation to match the passion and vision we bring to everything we do, from our educational outreach programs and vocal competition to our beloved Opera on the River Grand Concert.
