We are pleased to announce our 2023 scholarship winners. At Hudson High School it was awarded to Olivia Foo. At University of Maryland Pi Delta scholarship went to Zoe Nicholson. Congratulations to both recipients.

We are so excited that after a couple of years hiatus we are going to be putting together care packages for the ladies at the Serenity House. I am looking to see if anyone has any gently used or new women's winter hats, scarves, gloves or mittens they no longer use and would like to donate. I am a little late to the game and need all donations by next Friday the 20th. Please let me know if you have any donations and I can arrange to pick them up. At Hudson High School the scholarship was awarded to Kathryn Mattocks and at University of Maryland the scholarship was awarded to AOII sorority member Gabby Cohen. Congratulations to both recipients

Thanksgiving was extra special this year as we were chosen as a recipient of the Cummings Community Giving Program at New Horizons in Marlboro again. Special thanks to Sandy Chaves Aker who initially started choosing us as her charity to donate to and spread the word to other employees at New Horizon who now also choose our foundation as the recipient for their donation. We are so grateful to all of them and very appreciate of the continued support. Thank you Sandy, Jose DaSilva, Jemirio Cardosa, Loudes DeSa and Cesilia Santos

A huge thanks to all those supported our virtual Miles and Smiles for Michaella event and also those that gave donations. We are so excited to report we raised over $8000 for our foundation. We are so grateful to each and everyone of you that continue to support our mission of scholarship and funeral assistance.

We are happy to announce we will be holding a virtual Miles and Smiles for Michaella event on October 30th. This event will not only help us raise funds for our foundation but also celebrate what would be Michaella's 30th birthday. You can sign up on our event website or mail a check (made out to Michaella Walsh Libby Foundation and send to 35 Worcester Ave Hudson, MA 01749. Cost is $15. You can walk any distance at anytime during that day where ever you choose. For those not able to participate donations are also being accepted both on the event website and also can be mailed to the above address. We have a limited amount of long sleeve tshirts for sale for $20 on the event website. We would love for everyone to post pictures from them participating on the Miles and Smiles for Michaella page. In the spirit of past events we will be awarding a prize to the pinkest outfit from the pictures posted on the page. Let's hope next year we can all be back together in person. Thanks to all of you that continue to support our foundation.

At University of Maryland AOII Sorority the recipient is Caroline Fleetwood. Our Story

In 2012 our family lost our 20 year old daughter Michaella who was a sophomore at University of Maryland. Michaella was someone who loved to help others and participated in several community service projects. Her dream was to work for Doctors Without Borders. After she passed away we started 2 scholarships in her name one at her high school and another at her college and also started supporting two groups she was active in Students Helping Honduras and Kid power. Our mission was to carry her on her legacy on by supporting programs she was passionate about. We have a yearly fundraiser called Miles and Smiles for Michaella that has been highly successful. Over the past few years we have sadly heard of other local families who have also lost a child and how hard it is to not only be dealing with your grief but also to have to find the finances to pay for your child’s funeral. In 2017 we became a non profit 501 (c)(3) and decided to start raising funds to help families who have lost a child that need financial assistance for funeral costs.
