SCVFB is hiring a Community Engagement & Volunteer Manger!
This is more than a job. It's an opportunity to inspire volunteers, strengthen community partnerships, and help create a hunger-free future.

Community Engagement & Volunteer Manager
St. Croix Valley Food Bank | Hudson, WI Part-Time (up to 36 hours/week)

As the Community Engagement & Volunteer Manager, you will serve as an ambassador for St. Croix Valley Food Bank, recruiting and supporting volunteers, building relationships with community partners, coordinating fundraising and volunteer events, and helping grow awareness of our mission. This role combines volunteer management, outreach, community engagement, and event planning into one dynamic position.

What You'll Do
• Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers
• Manage the Volunteer Center and Community Engagement Room
• Welcome volunteer groups and provide facility tours
• Represent SCVFB at community events and outreach activities
• Build relationships with businesses, schools, civic groups, faith communities, and other partners
• Coordinate fundraising and community engagement events, including our annual Empty Bowls fundraiser
• Support volunteer appreciation, donor engagement, and community awareness initiatives
• Assist with social media, website updates, and communications efforts

What We're Looking For
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Experience in volunteer management, event planning, fundraising, community engagement, nonprofit work, or related field
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
• Comfort with public speaking and representing the organization in the community
• Passion for serving neighbors facing food insecurity

Help feed children and families in Burnett County this summer 🫶
During the school year, backpack programs help kids bring food home when school meals aren’t available. In the summer, many families lose that dependable support. At the same time, local food shelves are seeing increased demand, and high‑need items (like protein, eggs, and dairy) go quickly.

Local partners are raising $20,000 to support two pop-up food distributions (late July and late August) and help purchase these high‑demand food options.

Five years ago today SCVFB began operations and became the first and ONLY food bank in western Wisconsin. 🚚 Since then we have grown to serving more than 50 hunger relief programs and have delivered over 15 million pounds of food!

What a week! We had some amazing volunteers in this week to pack boxes and fresh veggies. Today Joe picked up over 6000 pounds of rescue produce that will be given out at local pantries as soon as this evening! Thank you Russ Davis Wholesale!
