From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 💙
As we look back on this year’s Mighty Vincent Project, it’s hard to put into words what it means to see so many people coming together to serve our community, bringing light and love to those in need, and making the world a better place through in-person volunteerism.
We’re still crunching the numbers, but we can share that we had 553 volunteers who served at projects across 30 different nonprofit organizations.
At one project alone, volunteers packed 1,200 bags of food at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank–that’s 1,200 kids who had a bag of food for the weekend when they’re not in school.
To every person who gave their time, brought their family, rolled up their sleeves, and served alongside us last week, thank you. To our incredible nonprofit partners, thank you for welcoming us into your organizations, sharing your missions with us, and allowing our volunteers to be a small part of the important work you do every single day.
Thank you to our site coordinators, fellow members of our board of directors, community partners, donors, supporters, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make this week possible. And to the families who continue to bring their children year after year, thank you for helping us pass along the importance of serving others to the next generation.
What began as a way to cherish our son Vincent’s memory by honoring his namesake, Saint Vincent de Paul–the patron saint of the poor and charitable causes–has become something bigger than we ever could have imagined, and that is because of all of you.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for serving.
Thank you for carrying Vincent’s joy, compassion, and love forward.
