We are so proud to be part of this incredible step forward in emergency care. Our department is now carrying whole blood for EMS responses — a lifesaving advancement that brings hospital-level trauma care straight to the scene.

When seconds count, access to whole blood can mean the difference between life and death for patients experiencing severe trauma. This capability ensures our community receives the highest standard of care, right when it’s needed most.

Check out our upcoming blood drive! The holidays are always difficult on local blood supplies and a little of your time can save a life. Plus it helps support our whole blood program, bringing the highest level trauma care to the streets for those that need it

Some of our members serve on RERT as tactical medics. Just another service we proudly offer (we're pretty good at it too)

Some of you may have observed the presence of multiple agencies in the Wayne Estate area, specifically Barbara Drive. Our local Regional Emergency Response Team (commonly referred to as SWAT) responded to an incident involving an individual who made threats of using an explosive against our officers. It was later determined that the individual wanted our officers to harm him. Our team motto, Resolution thru Tactics, was exemplified today as we achieved a peaceful resolution to a potentially volatile situation. With the assistance of Crisis Negotiators, the Dayton Bomb Squad, RERT Operators, and the Huber Heights Fire Division, we successfully resolved the situation without incident. We appreciate the patience of nearby residents and wish you a happy Thanksgiving. The individual was safely taken into custody without harm to the subject or officers; no explosive devices were located. Our Patrol Division took the initial call and made excellent choices today.
