📢 New Surrender Form Update 🐾

As Cosmic Waters Kitty Rescue continues to grow, we've had several people reach out needing to surrender or rehome cats. At this time, we already have a few people waiting in line, so it may be a little while before we're able to accept any additional owner surrenders.

To help make the process more organized and fair for everyone, we'll be introducing official new surrender forms very soon! These forms will allow us to keep track of requests in the order they're received and gather the information we need to better help each cat.

Please remember that we're a small, volunteer-run rescue, and we're doing everything we can to help as many cats as possible while making sure each one receives the care they deserve.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We truly couldn't do this without our amazing community. ❤️🐈

✨ We have some exciting news to share! ✨

Cosmic Waters Kitty Rescue is incredibly grateful to announce our new partnership with ABC Clinic in Waco, TX! 💜🐾

This partnership will help us provide more affordable spay and neuter services for cats and other animals in our community. Every pet that is spayed or neutered helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces homelessness, and gives more animals the chance to live healthy, happy lives.

This is a huge step forward for our rescue and for the communities we serve, and we couldn't be more excited about what we can accomplish together.

A heartfelt thank you to ABC Clinic for believing in our mission and helping us make a difference, one paw at a time. 🐱💕

Today is a huge step forward for Cosmic Waters Kitty Rescue. ❤️🐾

I officially launched our GoFundMe to help us begin a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program right here in Hubbard, Texas.

Every day, more kittens are born outside, and so many cats struggle to survive the Texas heat, hunger, illness, and injury. This cycle won't stop on its own. By trapping, spaying and neutering, vaccinating, and safely returning healthy community cats, we can humanely reduce the population and give these cats a better chance at life.

This project is something I've dreamed of for a long time, but I can't do it alone. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to purchasing the supplies, traps, transportation, and veterinary care needed to get this program off the ground.

Help Us Give Hubbard's Community Cats a Chance

Imagine being born outside with no warm bed, no food waiting for you, and no one to protect you.

For many cats in Hubbard, Texas, this isn't imagination. It's their reality.

Every day, community cats struggle to survive. They face hunger, disease, harsh weather, injuries, and the constant challenge of finding safety. Many are mothers raising litter after litter of kittens, simply because there aren't enough resources to stop the cycle.

The cats didn't choose this life.

Without intervention, the population continues to grow. One unspayed female cat can have multiple litters each year, and before long, a handful of cats can become dozens. Local rescues and caring individuals do everything they can, but the need is greater than the resources available.

That's why Cosmic Waters Kitty Rescue is working to launch a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.

We are currently in the planning stages and will be working through ABC Clinic's TNR program in Waco, where we'll receive guidance on building a successful program for our community.

Before we can begin trapping, we need funding.

Your donations will help cover:

* Spay and neuter surgeries
* Rabies vaccinations
* Humane trapping equipment
* Recovery and transportation supplies
* Other essential expenses needed to operate the program

Every dollar brings us one step closer to preventing future litters and reducing the suffering of community cats in a humane, long-term way.

This is Rockie, a 16-year-old senior boy who has been missing since 1/23/2026.

Rockie needs to be home. He has a bonded brother who is blind, and they have spent 16 years together. His brother is lost and struggling without him. 💔

If anyone has Rockie, please understand he is deeply loved and missed and needs to be returned to his rightful owner. If you have seen him, please pick him up and call the number on the flyer so he can be safely reunited with his family.

Rockie is elderly, sweet, and deserves to spend his remaining time where he belongs—home, safe, and with his brother.

Florida has enacted Dexter’s Law, which prevents individuals convicted of animal cruelty from adopting or purchasing cats and dogs. The law closes a loophole that previously allowed known abusers to continue acquiring pets after conviction.

Named after a dog whose abuse exposed flaws in the system, Dexter’s Law prioritizes animal safety and responsible ownership. By restricting access for convicted offenders, the state ensures that pets are placed in caring, accountable homes.

Advocates say the law is a critical step toward protecting vulnerable animals, reducing repeat abuse, and sending a clear message that cruelty carries lasting consequences beyond the courtroom.

🐾 HUBBARD, TEXAS ONLY — COMMUNITY TNR PROJECT LAUNCHING THIS SUMMER 🐾

This summer, we’re starting a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) project focused entirely on feral and stray cats within Hubbard, Texas.

🔹 Our main goal is neutering MALE cats first
🔹 Targeting up to 10 cats per day
🔹 Cats will be trapped, neutered, ear-tipped, and returned

📍 How we’re approaching this: We already have a pretty good idea of where most of the cat groups are located. To make the biggest impact quickly, we’ll be:
✔ Starting with the largest groups first
✔ Reducing population growth at its source
✔ Expanding outward as each area is completed

✂️ Ear tipping lets us clearly mark which cats — and which areas — have already been done, helping us stay organized and avoid re-trapping.

📌 Good to know: • This project is Hubbard-only
• No transport help needed
• We’re currently confirming colony locations and planning trapping days
• We will be spaying females (pregnant or none pregnant) as funding comes in for them or free feral days.
