A resource on every cup. ๐Ÿ’›

Big thanks to our friends at Mix Place for putting mental health resources right where people will see them. Every cup this week is a reminder that help is always within reach.

Racing Saturday or cheering from the sidelines? Swing by Mix for a drink or a treat, and take a look at the cup in your hand. 988 and SafeUT are there for any hard day, any hard feeling. Not just emergencies.

Do you know how they work? Save them now, for you or someone you love. The moment you need them isn't the moment you want to be looking them up.

Grab a cup at Mix Place in Coalville, and we'll see you tomorrow, Saturday, August 8, for Run/Ride 4 Your Luke. ๐Ÿ’›

Luke would have been 38 today. ๐Ÿ’›

Lucas Terrill Kitchen arrived on July 23, 1988, and from the very beginning, he felt the world deeply. That sensitivity made him gentle and compassionate, and it also meant he carried more than most.

He was funny. He was sharp. He made people feel loved and important, and he could talk to anyone about anything and leave them feeling like theyโ€™d made a new best friend. At family parties he was the bright star, and when he wasnโ€™t there, everyone felt it.

When his Gramps got sick, Luke quit his job and left school to help take care of him. Thatโ€™s just who he was.

Son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, partner, best friend. A playful goofball and a deeply sensitive soul. Irreplaceable.

We miss him. And we walk because the world would be a better place with him still in it, because one life matters, and because you never know who among us is struggling and needs someone to show up.

Happy birthday, Luke. ๐Ÿ’›

Why I walk: Marc S. ๐Ÿ’™

"I was a school principal and I lost many of my students, so I'm here walking for them, and the parents."
โ€” Marc Space

Two sentences. A lifetime behind them.
Marc walks for the students he couldn't save and the families left behind. Walk beside him on August 8.

Why I walk: Alma & her girls ๐Ÿ’›

"I walk because I can, and I am grateful for that every dayโ€ฆ There are many people, including children, who don't have that opportunity. It's a reminder that so many simple things in life are blessings that we often take for granted."

โ€” Alma & Girls

Some walk out of grief. Some walk out of gratitude. All of it belongs on this course.

Join Alma and her girls on August 8. ๐Ÿ”— live4yourluke.com

5 action steps that could save a life. ๐Ÿ’›

You don't have to be a professional to help someone who's struggling. You just have to show up. Here's how:

1๏ธโƒฃ ASK โ€” "Are you thinking of harming yourself?" Direct, caring, and okay to say out loud.
2๏ธโƒฃ BE THERE โ€” Listen without judgment and acknowledge their feelings.
3๏ธโƒฃ HELP KEEP THEM SAFE โ€” Reduce their access to lethal items or places.
4๏ธโƒฃ HELP THEM CONNECT โ€” Call or text the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
5๏ธโƒฃ FOLLOW UP โ€” Stay in touch to see how they're doing.
Save this. Share it. You never know whose life it might change.
