📢 Exciting News from the Sheridan County Community Foundation!

The Sheridan County Community Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Kelsey Epp has been named the Foundation's next Executive Director, effective May 28, 2026.

Kelsey brings a strong commitment to our communities, a passion for service, and a vision for continuing the Foundation's mission of strengthening Sheridan County through charitable giving, community leadership, and meaningful partnerships.

"We are excited to welcome Kelsey into this role and look forward to the vision and energy she will bring to the Foundation's future," said Board Chair Jason Weimer.

As Executive Director, Kelsey will work closely with donors, nonprofit organizations, local leaders, and volunteers to support initiatives that enhance the quality of life throughout Sheridan County.

When the groups serving Sheridan County sit down together — sharing what’s working, talking through the real needs, and finding ways to support one another — our whole community is better for it. None of us does this work alone.

🛍️🚗 The 2026 Highway 24 Garage Sales are nearly here!

Join shoppers and treasure hunters from across Kansas and Colorado on June 5–7, 2026, for one of the region’s biggest garage sale weekends! Hoxie is excited to once again be part of this 300+ mile event along Highway 24.

This year, Hoxie features 12 registered garage sale locations throughout the community and surrounding area — including Rocky’s Bait & Tackle near the Sheridan Lake entrance outside the Hoxie city limits.

There are grants available across every sector, but we need community direction on where we should focus our time. Most of these grants are complex, but they are not impossible. Help us shape Sheridan County!

Sheridan County said we are getting on the mural train! Jen Carder is working diligently to complete the mural on Hoxie's Main by the end of June.
