Stay Cool Vote Hoxie Pool Hoxie needs a NEW pool!!! Sheridan County needs a new swimming pool. Our swimming pool was built in 1938 with a life expectancy of 70-80 years.

We have exceeded our limit, dealing with major leaks and a deteriorating bath house over the last number of years. Due to the excessive leaking our pool is on the verge of closing. A new swimming pool will bring recreation for the entire family and beautify our community. Let's give Sheridan County something to be proud of! Vote, Yes, on 7th, 2012.

If you would still like to order an engraved brick for the swimming pool.....now is the time. The FINAL sale of these engraved bricks will end this week and this will be the last time to purchase one. Once the bricks are received, the wall will be finished. What a great way to support the pool.....bricks can be for an individual, family, business, organization, or used as a memorial. We are offering three sizes of bricks and all bricks are tax deductible. Please note the picture below if you would like to see what they look like. Any questions, or to purchase a brick, please stop by the City Office for a form or contact Lola Baalman. All proceeds from the brick sales are going towards a slide for the new swimming pool. Once again we will be selling engraved bricks to go in front of the swimming pool and this will be the last time we are offering the bricks before the wall is finished. We are offering three different brick options. Option #1 is a 2x8 brick with two lines of engraving for $100, Option #2 is a 4x8 brick with three lines of engraving for $250, and Option #3 is an 8x8 brick with up to 6 lines of engraving for $500. Each line of engraving can be a maximum of 16 characters, with spaces and punctuation counting as one character. These bricks can be purchased by businesses, organizations, families, or used as a memorial. Brick forms will be available at the City Office or see the form printed in this paper. If you are purchasing multiple bricks, please fill out one from per brick. All bricks are tax deductible. If you would like a form or have any questions, please message or call Lola Baalman at 675-8238.

Just a reminder that the 5K Fun Run is right around the corner. Please pre-register by July 18th for $20 and receive your t-shirt on race day. All registration after July 18th will be $25 and you will receive your t-shirt after the race. The Kids Run will be 1 mile and the cost is $15.

The 1st Session of swimming lessons will be the week of June 24th - June 28th. You must pre-register at the swimming pool to ensure your spot in the lesson. There are a limited number of spots, and once the class is filled you will have to wait for another session. The fee for the swimming lessons is $10. Sheridan County Swimming Pool is opening today!!! Please join us for a ribbon cutting at 11:00 to celebrate this exciting day!! There will also be an Open House for the community from 11:00-1:00 today for everyone to come and see the new swimming pool. At 1:00, the pool will open for the summer!! Hope to see you there!!

We are trying to wrap up our brick sales. If you would like a brick, please get your information in as soon as possible. Forms are located around town, with pool committee members, and also available via email (message me your address). All forms must be turned into the City Office by Friday, May 10th.
