We heard that a veteran was struggling financially and that he couldn't pay his light bill. As a result, his power was shut off. With the assistance of MVP, we were able to pay for his light bill so his power could be restored. In the picture Holden Town Council Tom Copeland (Navy and Army veteran), Doc Goodwin, and Chief Benjamin.

The Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services in partnership with the VA will host Homeless Veterans Mobile Stand Downs throughout the next several months, bringing critical resources directly to veterans across the state.

These events are designed to connect homeless and at-risk veterans with the services they need most, including:
• Housing resources
• Benefits assistance
• Healthcare services
• Employment opportunities
• Personal care items
• And more

Our Family Room at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center helps make the lives of families with kiddos on the pediatrics floor a little bit easier. With a fully functioning kitchen, easy grab meals, coffee, laundry machines, and a quiet place to take a breath, all steps away from their child’s hospital bed, is there to support caregivers! 💓
