Patricia is looking sleek this summer 🦊

And she’s come along way from only taking treats from inside the dog house to now!
She sits calmly on top of the doghouse on her bed and accepts the treats.
Then once I’ve left she begins to eat them 😂

Patricia lives with Vivian in their “retirement condo” as we like to call it. Due to Vivian’s severe arthritis and hip dysplasia they’re on a concrete slab so no one can dig holes. This is because of Vivian’s health conditions a hole could lead to her potentially injuring herself severely.

They really do love it at the new location in the sanctuary and Patricia really has opened up so much lately ✨ 🧡🦊

Today I played interior decorator for the foxes with freshly cut tree branches from a tree that needed to come down. 🌳

Nothing beats natural enrichment — the new smells, crunchy textures, and leafy chaos make their day! 🍃🦊

Fiona, however, had strong opinions about my decorating choices. 😏 She definitely had a different vision for where those branches should hang… or maybe she just didn’t appreciate me redecorating her turf without running it by her first.

I’m pretty sure she secretly loves it as much as I love doing it. She’s just not ready to admit she appreciates me yet. Classic Fiona. 😘🦊

P.S. Their enclosure was spotless this morning… but hours later they’d already dug up all the dirt, turned it into a pee-soaked playground, and made it their own again. 😂😳 we are getting mulch this coming week too!

😂 Just wrapped up my weekly Costco haul and yes, I’m that person again.

Two overflowing carts: one packed with cases of chicken (for my furry friends), and the other for actual human household stuff. The comments I get are priceless — “Havingfor a BBQ for 500?” “Feeding an army?” Close… I’m feeding a whole fox sanctuary! 🦊❤️

Every Week you can find me pushing this circus through Costco. If you spot the crazy chicken lady with the double carts, feel free to wave and say hi!

P.S. This is where the biggest chunk of our weekly donations go — $500–$600 on meat and produce for the foxes. They eat better than we do some weeks 😂

Who else leaves Costco looking like they’re prepping for the apocalypse?

And each week I impressed myself with how well I can get everything into the back of the Durango so shout out Durango and if you guys ever want to donate me a new one, we would be more than happily accept for the foxes!

Bowie went to the fox yard and the girls were so excited to see him back home!
Foxes have deep emotional bonds and when separated even for a little while they get very excited to see each other again 🥰

🦊 Spicy Fiona has high hopes when I didn’t show up to work the other day due to a migraine (I recovered well)

Urgent Help Needed for Alexander & Our Foxes’ Veterinary Care ❤️

We’re reaching out today with a heavy but hopeful heart. Alexander went to the veterinary clinic this morning and he has severe arthritis in his right knee and some inflammation at the moment. But we also have an outstanding balance at the vet that we’re working hard to clear as quickly as possible.

We are incredibly fortunate to work with an amazing veterinarian and veterinary care team. They have been such a blessing to our rescue — graciously allowing us to carry a balance so we can continue providing timely care to the foxes without turning anyone away in their time of need. We literally could not do this rescue work without their kindness and support.

Our goal with this fundraiser is $3,000. It feels ambitious, but we truly believe we can do this together.

We know vet bills aren’t the most “exciting” thing to donate toward — it’s not as fun as toys, treats, or enrichment. But the truth is, strong veterinary care is the foundation of everything we do. Being able to pay our vet team allows us to handle emergencies quickly and confidently, even when funds are tight. Your support here directly protects the health and lives of our foxes when they need it most.

Did you know? Red foxes completely shed their thick winter coat every spring, leaving them with this sleek, short summer coat that helps them stay cool and comfortable in the heat and humidity.

Many of our foxes here actually let us gently pluck the loose fur because they’ve built such a strong bond with us — and they feel so much better afterward!
