AMFHR's purpose is to decrease hunger in the NJ, PA, and NY areas by collecting and distributing food at local soup kitchens. Our services include food-box programs, preparation of food, and working in collabora

tion with local businesses to donate food for distribution. AMFHR's targeted client base are low-income families, focusing on the working poor, who need assistance in providing food for their families. According to the 2012 Population Reference Bureau, AMFHR's client base of low-income families has grown in New Jersey to 20%, low income families in the New York area has mounted to a staggering 29%, and 26% of Pennsylvania's population are low-income families. AMFHR's services to the community significantly improve the ability of families to reach self-sufficiency.
