At this morning's meeting, Larry Prout Jr. and his family shared their story and told us about the support they provide to University of Michigan Mott Hospital families whose loved ones are enduring complex medical issues. Their 4th Annual Run for the Bear fundraiser will be on July 25, 2026.

Last week, our club had the opportunity to hear from Judge Murphy and Sara Applegate, Programs Administrator, about the important work being done through the Veterans Treatment Court (VTC).

The VTC is a treatment-based problem-solving court designed specifically for justice-involved veterans, recognizing that many veterans face unique challenges such as PTSD, substance addiction, traumatic brain injury, and military sexual trauma. Through a collaborative team approach, the court connects veterans with resources, treatment, mentorship, and support systems that help them move forward successfully.

Thank you to Judge Murphy and Sara for sharing how this specialized program is making a meaningful difference in the lives of local veterans and our community. 🇺🇸

A little piece of Detroit history came to life at today’s Livingston Sunrise Rotary meeting.

Thank you to Ron Staley from The Christman Company for the incredible presentation on the restoration of Michigan Central Station.

The history, architecture, and transformation behind this iconic Detroit landmark made for a fascinating morning. It’s amazing to see how a once-abandoned building has been brought back to life and become a symbol of renewal for the city. 🚉✨
