Fire, Police, and EMS members, along with the general community members.

On Sept. 16, 17, and 18, 2018 the Michigan Crisis Response Association will hold its 30th Annual Conference in Tustin, Mi.

First Responders . . . They work in jobs that can be very rewarding, very humbling, and very exciting. On the flip side of that is the job that can be very stressful, very draining, very demanding. While we all got into these jobs to serve our fellow man, sometimes we are the ones in need of the help.

If you are a First Responder and you believe that you need to speak with someone about issues related to your job, please feel to contact the Livingston County Critical Incident Stress Management Team. We will arrange to have a member of the Team contact you.

Firefighter Su***de and PTSD are huge issues in the fire service. The numbers are staggering. If you need help, please reach out. This subject is becoming a hot topic in the fire service. We have so much to deal with that sometimes it may be too much. We need to watch out for each other. For ourselves. If you have questions about, symptoms, etc. of depression, suicidal tendencies please get help ! We are here to help each other. Contact your Officer, Dept Chaplain, The Livingston County Critical Incident Stress Management Team or a fellow firefighter and talk and ask for help. Don't settle for "there is no other option". Get help. We're here to help, one day at a time.

They're some of the first responders on the scenes of danger, tragedy and emergencies. Firefighters are trained to save people, but sometimes, they need help with the mental and emotional stress that comes with the job.
