Amber Reineck House is honored to be a beneficiary of Hockey Night on March 7!
🏒 🥅 🏒

The Well Church puts on this incredible event each year to raise money for several nonprofits, and it truly takes a village. We are so blessed to be recipients of their hard work, dedication, and heart for serving others.

There are still tickets available — including a limited number of VIP tickets (only 75 left!) which include dinner and the opportunity to hang out with the hockey players.

It’s such a fun, family-friendly community event, and your support makes a real difference. Please consider buying tickets, becoming a sponsor, or sharing this post.

We are so grateful for this community and the way you always show up. 💙

Today we hosted a Vision Board Party with the amazing women at Amber Reineck House, and the energy was incredible.

As we close out the Year of the Snake and step into the Year of the Fire Horse, it feels powerful. In Chinese astrology, the Horse represents freedom, forward movement, confidence, and independence — and when paired with the Fire element, it brings bold passion, courage, transformation, and unstoppable momentum. It’s about taking action instead of waiting. Running toward your future instead of standing still.

Watching these women create vision boards for their next chapter was so inspiring. So much strength, hope, and determination in one room.

I love this house. It fills me with so much joy. I know my sister is smiling down, so proud of these resilient women and all they are becoming.

Here’s to big dreams, brave steps, and a year of powerful forward motion. 🔥✨

Since last year, we’ve heard times of misinformation circulating that Home of New Vision doesn't have certain services.

A lot of what we heard is not actually true.

Like many organizations across Michigan, we were impacted by devastating funding cuts. We lost our Engagement Center and said goodbye to some incredible staff members. We also had to close a couple transitional recovery houses.

But Home of New Vision has been serving this community since 1996, for a reason.

Resilience is part of who we are. Just like the people we serve every day.

While some chapters have closed, others are growing stronger.

We continue to offer:
• Residential Treatment
• Outpatient Services
• Recovery Housing (Transitional)
• Recovery Coaches
• Harm Prevention Services
• Recovery Community Organization (RCO) programming

And we provide services in both Washtenaw and Jackson counties.

We are rebuilding. We are adapting. We are still here.

Please don’t let misinformation prevent someone from getting help. That can be dangerous for individuals and for our community.

If you have questions, call us. Ask us directly. We are happy to talk.

Home of New Vision is not going anywhere. ❤️

Ten years ago on Christmas Eve, we lost my sister Amber.
Though she left this earth, her light never went out.

Amber’s life became a legacy. Through her nonprofit and the Amber Reineck House, her candle has continued to burn—lighting the way for countless women seeking recovery, hope, and a second chance at life. One flame became many. One life continues to change lives.

Grief doesn’t end, but neither does love. And Amber’s love lives on in every woman who finds sobriety, every family restored, and every heart reminded that healing is possible.

Today, as we remember Amber, I invite you to honor her in a simple, joyful way. One of her favorite movies was Elf. This movie will forever remind me of her ♥️😇

Her candle still burns brightly.
And because of her, so many others now do too. 🕯️✨

Last night was our Amber Reineck House Christmas party with our women and our amazing board members. It is truly my favorite holiday party of the year. ❤️

Our women had one beautiful evening. This day is so special for our women. They feel safe and feel at home - but most importantly, they shared that Christmas feels happy again.

So many of the women told us this was their first Christmas in a long, long time where they felt joy and peace around the hoildays. The smiles, the laughter, some tears and the excitement of meeting Santa (our dear friend Mike Staton) filled the room with hope.

We are incredibly grateful to Todd Fedie, who provided our Christmas meal. Todd generously provides all of our holiday meals for our girls, and it’s the little things like this that make a huge difference.

Last night made the women feel seen, loved, and truly special. It may seem simple, but it was a big day—one they will remember for a long time. 🎄✨

Thank you again to those who support us. Our Women know they are loved and supported thanks to you!!❤️ 🏠❤️
