When your mind feels overwhelmed, come back to the present.

Notice 5 things you see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste.

What can your five senses help you notice right now?

πŸ’œOFF THE R.A.I.L.: Stories of Peer Support πŸ’š

This Thursday is Global Peer Support Day! All week long, we are pulling back the curtain on the incredible individuals who dedicate their hearts and lived experiences to our community here at R.A.I.L.

We are kicking things off with an incredible advocate from our peer support team, Matthew Barton! πŸš€βœ¨

Real change happens when you have someone walking the path with you who truly understands the journey. We asked Matthew: "What is the most rewarding part of sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with someone early in recovery?"

Press play to hear Matthew share his answer, what peer recovery looks like in action, and why this life-changing work means so much to him. πŸ«‚πŸ’›

Help us celebrate Matthew today by leaving a word of encouragement or a "thank you" in the comments! πŸ—£οΈβœ¨

Our digital screens can sometimes fill our minds with unnecessary noise, comparison, and stress. True spiritual grounding often happens when we put the phone face down and look at the world right in front of us.

Can you commit to just 1 hour of screen-free time this evening?

Expanding Resources for Local Recovery! πŸ’œπŸ’›

At Recovery Advocates in Livingston, we know that long-term success thrives on strong community connections. We are excited to share a fantastic new grassroots resource starting up right here in our region!

Our very own Heidi is helping to launch the Livingston–Oakland Treatment Court Alumni Group (LIONS)! 🦁 This autonomous peer group is designed specifically for treatment court graduates and participants to stay connected, support one another, and give back after probation.

Supporting peer-led initiatives like this beautifully complements our mission to foster robust local recovery networks.

πŸŽ“ Their very first activity is coming up fast! Let's show up together and make some noise for the newest grads:
