Stockings for Seniors - Knox County, Ohio Non-Profit organization providing filled Christmas stockings to the elderly in Knox County, Ohio.

Stockings for Seniors is a non-profit organization that provides Christmas stockings filled with a variety of items to homebound elderly, those in nursing homes, and the homeless. The program began in 2010 as the Boy Scout Eagle Scout project of Ramsey McCarthy. After speaking with his great grandmother, Ramsey believed that too many of the elderly in our community felt like they had been discarde

d and forgotten. To provide some encouragement, Ramsey wanted to provide the elderly of Knox County with a Christmas gift so that they would know they were not forgotten. Each year approximately 800 stockings are prepared and hand delivered. In order to meet the growing need, all year long we collect items to place in the stockings.
