Howard Lake Royalty We are a non-profit organization whose main goal is to represent Howard Lake and the surrounding area as goodwill ambassadors and promote community pride.

The HL Royalty Program is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to represent Howard Lake and the surrounding area as goodwill ambassadors and promote tourism, business and community pride. It is also instrumental in creating an atmosphere of change and growth for the young women of Howard Lake, both in the candidate program as well as the Ambassador Program. We are looking for young women t

hat are enthusiastic about promoting our community at festivals around the area. We want them to be positive role models to the young children they meet and are engaged with in the volunteer activities they take part in. We want them to be able to grow in leadership abilities through out their year of serving as ambassadors. The hope of our program is to instill in these young women the benefits of volunteerism throughout the time as candidates and ambassadors.

Meet the 2026–2027 Howard Lake Good Neighbor Days Junior Miss Candidate, Alyce Heckson! 👑

Alyce will be an eighth grader this fall at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School. Alyce is a straight A student and has been on the Honor Roll every quarter! She sings in choir and plays percussion in band. She enjoys doing Dance, Theatre, Speech, and Softball.

Alyce hopes to be a zoologist or a marine biologist one day. She has attended summer horse camps for many years and this year is attending a summer camp at the MN zoo as well.

Alyce is the only child of Ashley and Ashley Heckson. She has had many foster siblings too! She has 2 rescue dogs as well, named Truman and Jackson. Alyce lives in Winsted.

In her free time, Alyce enjoys spending time with friends and family, swimming, reading, playing games, shopping and going camping. Her favorite color is purple and she loves the musical Hamilton!

Alyce believes she would be a strong addition to the Howard Lake Royalty Program because she enjoys helping others and getting to know people. Alyce was previously Little Miss Howard Lake 2024-2025. She strives to be a positive role model and truly enjoyed her previous reign. She hopes to impact even more people this time!

Meet the 2026–2027 Howard Lake Good Neighbor Days Little Miss Candidate, Bianca Thom! 👑

Bianca is a soon to be 5th grader at HLWW middle school. She enjoys playing with her friends, singing, dancing and practicing her gymnastics moves. She enjoys paddleboard and kayaking with her whole family.

Bianca is the oldest of three siblings. Her brother Orion and little sister Astrid. She enjoys crafting and collecting miniatures with her mom Jessica and gaming with her dad Cody. Bianca is looking forward to a fun summer in the community and at the beaches. She is excited to be a candidate for Little Miss Howard Lake and being a part of all the fun!

Meet the 2026–2027 Howard Lake Good Neighbor Days Little Miss Candidate, Hadley Diers! 👑

Hadley will be a fifth grader this fall at St. James Lutheran School. She plays piano and trombone and loves reading. She also enjoys doing Dance, Volleyball, and Basketball.

Hadley is the oldest of three kids with younger brothers, Calvin and Titus. Hadley enjoys adventures, traveling and crafting with her brothers and parents, Jeff and Leisha.

Hadley is looking forward to enjoying a fun- filled summer with all sorts of activities and is looking forward to her time being Little Miss Howard Lake.

Meet the 2026–2027 Howard Lake Good Neighbor Days Candidate, Kaylin Carlson! 👑

Kaylin Carlson is a driven sophomore entering her junior year of high school, known for her leadership, service, and dedication to her community. She serves as Secretary for Student Council and Personal Relations Officer for the Minnesota Honor Society, where she helps strengthen communication, connection, and school spirit. Kaylin also leads her school’s Worship Club and participates in cheer and Knowledge Bowl, embracing every opportunity to support her peers and make a positive impact.

Kaylin is also academically ambitious. She is a PSEO student through St. Cloud State University and Ridgewater College, taking college‑level courses to challenge herself and prepare for her future. Her long‑term goal is to become a pediatrician, inspired by her deep love for children and her desire to help them feel safe, supported, and cared for. She hopes to one day combine her empathy, leadership, and medical knowledge to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young patients.

Family is one of the most important parts of Kaylin’s life. She shares a close bond with her mom, Elicia Jenson, and her stepdad, Luke Jenson, whose constant encouragement motivates her to work hard, stay grounded, and lead with kindness.

In her free time, Kaylin enjoys spending time with friends and family, swimming, reading, and going for walks. Her favorite color is pink, and she loves creating memories and building meaningful relationships with the people around her. One of the qualities she values most in herself is her empathy—she believes it allows her to understand others deeply, support them wholeheartedly, and ensure everyone feels seen, heard, and included.

Kaylin believes she would be a strong addition to the Howard Lake Royalty Program because of her dedication to leadership, service, and community connection. She strives to be a positive role model and is committed to representing Howard Lake with kindness, confidence, and pride.
