From the dancefloor to the mixer, Notic has been deeply rooted in the Texas Dance Music underground culture since the late ‘90s. Coming from the other side of the decks, he spent years immersed in dancefloor circles enveloped in the music ever since it first pivoted his heart and life in a powerful, positive direction.

With a deep love for the eclectic clash and melding of melodic grooves, funky hooks, dirty beats, technical drum patterns and thick, heavy basslines bringing his eclectic creativity from a dancefloor warrior to a funk selecta. Years of digging deep through crates at record stores for hidden gems and the freshest remixes honed his mixing and song layout techniques to capture dancers' attention.

Notic's sets have reached across genre lines, creating a beautifully artistic melting pot of intelligent grooves and vibes! Creating audible journeys of cultural enlightenment and understanding through the universal language of music.

Steven Lawrence

Steven Lawrence energized dance floors in Houston and across the nation for over 20 years. Originally from Chicago—the birthplace of house music—Steven brought his roots into every beat he played. He made his Houston EDM debut with a popular mix series called Dirty Beats, which electrified the scene for several years and cemented his place in the local underground.

Over the course of his career, Steven held more than 100 nightclub residencies across Houston, Denver, and Chicago, becoming a familiar and respected name in each city’s music scene. He was also one of the original contributors to the production company Nightculture and played a pivotal role in LazerTrance, one of Houston’s most iconic monthly EDM events.

In 2012, Steven joined forces with longtime friend Stuart Celauro to form the production duo Lawrence & Celauro. The collaboration led them to a record deal with Armada Music, and together they launched a well-received podcast titled Soundwaves.

From releases on Ride Recordings to commanding the decks at events like LazerTrance (Stereo Live), Rapture (9PM Presents), Common Ground and Transcend (The Department of Dance), SOLID and SunBass Park Party (The Crew), WTWTA, CULT-i-VATE, OVERALL, and WET N WILD (SDC's events), and Galaxy Station—Steven’s footprint in the electronic music community was massive. He also left his mark on major regional festivals including ILLfest, Intents Vibrations, and Something Wicked (Disco Donnie Presents), and even took the energy all the way to Burning Man, Circus In Space, and Texas regional burns with the Good Vibe Tribe.

Steven Lawrence’s presence was deeply felt across Houston’s nightlife, with standout performances at venues such as Stereo Live, Bauhaus, Gravity, Heights House Hotel, 9PM Presents, Last Concert Cafe, Rich's, The Silo, Sunset Houston, and 8th Wonder Brewery.

A true architect of sound, his evolving, soulful sets drove the dancefloor and solidified his role as a key force in the Houston Trance Family.
