Eight children didn’t get a chance to grow up.

Eight lives ended in a place that was supposed to be safe.

Eight reminders that domestic violence doesn’t just affect partners—it destroys entire families.

This wasn’t just “an argument.”
This wasn’t “relationship issues.”
This was violence escalating to the unthinkable.

What if $50 could help save a life?

The 5000 Blessings of $50 Campaign is a community-driven fundraiser supporting the domestic violence safe house operated by Whispers from a Woman’s Heart, a nonprofit dedicated to helping women and children affected by domestic violence.

Our mission is to provide safe housing, advocacy, resources, and support services for survivors escaping abusive situations. Through this campaign, we are asking 5,000 supporters to donate $50 each to help raise $250,000 to sustain and operate our domestic violence safe house.

Funds raised will support critical needs including emergency shelter, food, utilities, security, counseling, and essential resources that help survivors rebuild their lives in safety.

Every donation helps provide a safe place for women and children fleeing abuse, giving them the opportunity to heal, regain stability, and start a new chapter free from violence.

Whispers from a Woman’s Heart has been a safe haven for women and children escaping domestic violence since 2015. Behind our doors are stories of courage, survival, and new beginnings. Women arrive with fear and uncertainty, and they leave with hope, resources, and the belief that their lives matter.

But today, we are facing a very difficult reality.

Due to major funding cuts, the future of our domestic violence safe house is at risk. This space has protected and supported so many women who had nowhere else to go. Closing these doors would mean fewer safe places for women and children trying to escape abuse.

So today, I’m asking for help from our community.

We are believing for 5,000 blessings of $50.00. If 5,000 people give just $50.00 we can raise the funds needed to keep the safe house operating and continue providing safety, resources, and support to survivors who desperately need it.

Your $50.00 may seem small, but to a woman fleeing violence, it can mean a safe bed, a hot meal, counseling, resources, and a chance to start over.

You can give, share, or simply help us spread the word. Every act of kindness helps keep hope alive for a woman who is trying to survive and rebuild her life.

1. Registered Nurse (RN) Director – Lead Role
Reports To: Executive Director
Salary Range: $95,000 – $110,000 annually (DOE)
Key Duties:
Supervise RN team and ensure clinical quality

Provide direct guidance on complex cases

Develop and oversee training and protocols

Collaborate on interdisciplinary care plans

Facilitate health/nutrition training for staff and clients

Qualifications:
Texas RN license

3+ years in clinical supervision

Maternal-child health experience preferred

2. Staff Registered Nurse – Entry Level
Reports To: RN Director
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 annually
Key Duties:
Conduct health screenings and assessments

Provide education on prenatal/postnatal care

Assist with care coordination and urgent needs

Partner with doulas, CHWs, and social workers

Qualifications:
Active Texas RN license

Experience in women’s or pediatric health preferred

3. Social Work Director – Lead Role
Reports To: Executive Director
Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 annually
Key Duties:
Supervise and train social work staff

Oversee client safety/crisis response (CPS, DV, MH)

Ensure documentation compliance and reporting

Coordinate support plans for high-barrier cases

Qualifications:
LCSW or LMSW (Texas)

3+ years working with women/families

Crisis response experience required

4. Social Worker – Entry Level
Reports To: Social Work Director
Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually
Key Duties:
Provide psychosocial assessments

Respond to urgent client needs

Work in tandem with the full care team

Facilitate referrals and safety plans

Qualifications:
LBSW or LMSW (Texas)

1+ year in maternal-child services preferred

5. CHW Supervisor – Lead Role
Reports To: Program Director
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually
Key Duties:
Supervise CHWs and manage caseloads

Track client outcomes and service compliance

Support transition planning from doula care

Provide ongoing training and coaching

Qualifications:
Certified CHW in Texas

Experience in home visitation and coordination

6. Community Health Worker (CHW) – Entry Level
Reports To: CHW Supervisor
Salary Range: $40,000 – $48,000 annually
Key Duties:
Perform home visits and outreach

Link clients to employment, housing, transport

Maintain client relationships post-delivery

Collaborate with healthcare and social support teams

Qualifications:
Texas CHW certification

7. Lead Doula – Director Role
Reports To: Program Director
Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually
Key Duties:
Oversee all doula services and training

Support doulas through prenatal and postpartum journeys

Coordinate care transitions with CHWs

Develop prenatal education and birth planning tools

Qualifications:
Certified Doula (recognized training program)
