This month we’re highlighting our Vice President of Communications, Betty Puryear!

With Betty’s efforts we are able to keep members informed on our events and projects. She always welcomes new members with her warm smile and we can always count on her to lend a hand for events.

As a member since 2001 she has made an impact on countless young lives in the area. For Betty, the most rewarding aspect of being a volunteer is seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as she reads a book or delivers a scholarship.

Thank you Betty, we are lucky to have you in our corner!

The opportunity to present bright, young scholars with a scholarship to help them achieve their dreams is almost indescribable. It’s a culmination of our year-round fundraising efforts and our hearts are filled with pride for these wonderful students and their futures. Thank you to all that have donated to our scholarship efforts to make this possible and we wish all the recipients the best!

What a momentous occasion celebrating 59 years of Assistance League of Houston during our Annual Meeting at the ! We reminisced over our accomplishments this year including raising money for Operation School Bell and donating uniforms to almost 3,000 students to awarding 41 student scholarships, and more! And of course we have to thank our amazing Board and volunteers for making all of these impacts possible.
