Fairbanks Library Friends We are the Friends of the Fairbanks Branch Library in Harris County. We're a non-profit group whose goal is to support the library and our community!

All money raised by the Friends helps provide funding for library programs and materials.

Every time you log your reading, you get points. Every 100 points gets you prizes! So simple!

Make sure to register with your local branch. If you are a Fairbanks patron, you have the chance to win one of these awesome magnifying drops!

No need to make dinner on May 18th! Come by Willie’s Grill and Icehouse at the corner of Jones and 290 between 11am and 10 pm to grab a bite to eat and support the Friends of the Fairbanks Library!

Make sure to let them know you’re there for the Friends of the Library and Willie’s will donate 15% of the sales that day to our organization!

If you’d rather order to go, order online and use code “SPIRITNIGHT” to let them know you’re supporting the Friends.

Our Board will be there at 6:30 for dinner and we’d love to see you! We can’t wait 🎉

Our next semi-annual book sale is Saturday, May 16th from 10-3 at the Fairbanks Branch Library, 7122 Gessner Rd. 77040

There will be books, music, movies, and more available - with most items priced at just $1 or $2.

We’re still taking donations, too, so make sure to clean off your shelves and make room for more books to add to your TBR list!

Our next quarterly Friends of the Library meeting will be this Saturday, April 18th at 11:00. We will be discussing ways you can get involved and our upcoming fundraising efforts. Kick off National Library Week with us!

Next week is National Library Week!

The theme is Library Joy and it’s perfect for expressing how we all feel about the library. Share your library joy with friends, neighbors, and strangers next week.

Share a library events calendar with someone (especially your child’s classroom teacher so they can spread the word to other students).
Invite someone to the library to read with you.
Find out what adult events are happening this month and invite a friend along.
Encourage someone to sign up for .app using their (possibly new) library card.
Post about your library visits on social media.

Each of these is an easy way to celebrate National Library Week and spread library joy every day!
