Dearest Gentle Reader,

The ton has nothing on us.

Bridgerton Season 4 just dropped and honestly? We see a LeadHER woman in every single one of them.

The  executive who sets the standard and owns every room she walks into.

The powerful force in the ton, who shapes outcomes without anyone realizing she has.

The resilient, who came from nothing, never let her circumstances define her, and made her biggest impact on her own terms.

And the free spirit who led a stag dance at a funeral because she refused to let grief be anything less than a celebration of love.

Which Bridgerton woman are you? Drop your character in the comments. 👇

A medical doctor. A chemical engineer. A Peace Corps officer. A NASA astronaut. And the first Black woman to ever leave this Earth.

Dr. Mae C. Jemison didn't just break one ceiling, she shattered an entire building.

Most people spend a lifetime mastering one field. Mae mastered several, learning her chemical engineering degree from Stanford, her medical doctorate from Cornell, serving communities in West Africa as a Peace Corps medical officer, and STILL deciding that none of that was enough until she had touched space.

In 1987 she became the first Black woman ever admitted into NASA's astronaut training program. On September 12, 1992, she boarded the Space Shuttle Endeavour and made history, proving that a little Black girl who told her kindergarten teacher she wanted to be a scientist was right all along.

After NASA she kept going, founding companies, teaching at Dartmouth, launching science programs for teenagers, and calling Houston home.

Dr. Mae Jemison is not just a trailblazer. She is proof that there is no ceiling high enough, no field wide enough, and no dream too big for a woman who refuses to be defined by one thing.

Some people read books. Sharayl Pressley creates the conversations that make them unforgettable.

This Women's History Month, we step Inside Her Career with Houston-based literary moderator and book club host Sharayl Pressley, and her story is one every woman building something from scratch needs to hear.

She started with a craving, a need for a room where Black women could gather intentionally around stories that reflect them. She didn't wait for the perfect plan. She showed up, learned as she went, protected her community fiercely, and built something real. She leads with grace and firmness because the women in her room deserve nothing less. And when people question whether what she does is a "real" career, she lets the transformation speak for itself.

We believe that building community is a career. Creating safe spaces is a skill. And leading conversations that change lives is a calling worth celebrating.

Which slide spoke to you the most? Drop it in the comments. 👇

📌 Save this and share it with a woman building something the world hasn't named yet.

Did you know that in 1968, Shirley Chisholm walked into the U.S. Congress as the first Black woman ever elected, and then four years later, ran for President of the United States?

In a room that was never designed for her, she didn't shrink. She showed up, spoke up, and refused to be controlled. Her campaign motto, Unbought and Unbossed, wasn't just a slogan. It was a standard. A way of life. A blueprint for every woman who has ever been told she was too much, too bold, or too early.

Shirley Chisholm faced discrimination not just for being Black, but for being a woman. She said it herself: "When I ran for Congress, when I ran for president, I met more discrimination as a woman than for being Black." And still, she ran. She fought. She won.

This Women's History Month, LeadHER Foundation is telling Her-Story, one trailblazing woman at a time. Because when you know her story, you have permission to write yours.

Did you know Black History Month started as just one week?

What began as a small effort to make sure Black stories were told has grown into a global celebration of culture, achievement, and impact.

History matters, because when you know where you come from, you can see where you’re going.
