Join our friends at Da Camera of Houston for their poetry-inspired season opener “Emily—No Prisoner Be” on Tuesday, October 13 at the Wortham Center! Tickets and details at dacamera.com

DACAMERA’s gala Opening Night brings reigning international opera diva Joyce DiDonato back to Houston in a genre-defying production. Created in collaboration with the uniquely virtuosic Time for Three string trio and an award-winning design team, this re-imagining of the poetry and life of Emily Dickinson has thrilled audiences from Europe to Carnegie Hall. A strikingly original take on a centuries-old musical form, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts (Silent Night) notes, “this is not your grandmother’s song cycle.”
