The Rice Singaporean and Friends Society (RSF) is a student organization that provides a close community for students in Rice University who are associated with or interested in the Singaporean and ASEAN culture (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam). Our organization organizes numerous events throughout the year such as social events like the an
nual Rice Singapore Alumni & Student gathering, monthly dinner gatherings and networking sessions on campus. The RSF maintains strategic collaborations with other student organizations on campus and works with Rice University to organize events that promote Southeast Asian culture and heritage. RSF also serves as a forum for social, cultural, educational and professional interaction among and with students of South East Asian backgrounds. Besides organizing events, we also provide information, guidance and advice to prospective students from ASEAN who wish to study at Rice University. Our primary target audiences include undergraduates and post-graduates associated with Singapore and ASEAN as well as students from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) looking to do overseas exchange programs at Rice university.
